so EDC just sounds like a clusterfuck, made even worse by the fact that most people there arent sober, amirite?

Oh goodness, that video was pretty hilarious. Really, though, I wish we had events like that on the East or South coasts... Unfortunately in my neck of the woods, raves are fairly rare. And even rarer are legit dance parties or events of that nature.

So, aside from "raves" at conventions I've attended, I have yet to have that experience...especially while rolling. *le sigh* What's it like?
 
It's the one massive rave I keep going back to, in general I prefer nights at EDM clubs in Hollywood that go til 6 am. It's worth it, the layout is so spread out you never feel surrounded by people.
 
Theres EDC Orlando and Texas. Theres also Ultra. Plenty of East Coast festivals, but they just dont get the popularity like West Coast events cause people dont die at them :|

nto AS big, but still massives
starscape (baltimore) was last weeken, that was pretty cool, and i know theres electric zoo in NYC

i guess all the people who like OD'd or whatever at starscape didn't die, cause it doesn't appear there are any death reports...cause i saw 5 or 6 people unconscious getting rushed out by the cops/security..
 
Sorry, sorry...I guess I just mean places closer to me. So the Southeast (but not south Florida). Sounds like everywhere that actually has events is at least a day's drive away... :( Kind of wish I still lived in Louisiana so that I could go to things in Texas, but goodness that place is just not for me. (LA, I mean, not TX. TX seems pretty great.)
 
Raves in SoCal are being completely cracked down upon after that 15 year old died. What an idiot, even I didn't roll at 15 and I started what I feel is pretty early.

Also. After spending so long on the moon digging and digging, thinking it was hopeless, I FINALLY found some moonrockz. Right at a time when I'm on an SSRI..... >.>

Yeah, Sasha Rodriguez probably wasnt even on MDMA. What 15 year old knows the difference between pipes and MDMA. Probably just a bad reaction to multiple pills and dehydration.

Yeah, POP was a disaster as well. My friend from Norcal attended, said bad vibes and loads of people having sex. Fucking horrible :|

Well, so I've suspect. Can't know fer sure until I sample them which won't be for at least another month or so 'till I switch meds or something. And they're all bundled up, so no pics. Bad things will happen if I open...
 
Yea I heard rumors of people being pricked with needles, and I know there was a number of hospital visits plus a guy who died after the event.

POP was a mess all around. So many undercovers too, I saw some guy get his head smashed against concrete stairs while being taken down. Talk about bad vibes.

The "rave" scene if you want to call it that is dead and gone, and that's not coming from some jaded raver. Its a bunch of barely clothed barely legal girls and bros. Oh well.
 
The "rave" scene unfortunately has just become the mainstream drug scene. The true rave scene died somewhere around 2006, maybe before. That was before I even started going to raves in 2007, but even then it was still less disastrous.
 
i wouldn't say the rave scene completely died in 2006...
i feel like it OFFICIALLY died after EDC 2009.
also, wtf is moon rocks?
