The Complete Opiate Bioavailability Chart

This is a little projected I did a while back. It lists every major opiate with it’s half-life and bioavailability for Oral, IM, IV, Rectal and Intranasal. Defintiely a useful little tool when you find yourself with some opiate your aren't familiar with and you want to find out what the best route of administration would be.

When I saw the half life of Naltrexone at 4 hours, I thought that couldn't possibly be correct. According to wikipedia, it's true - but a metabolite (I think what that's what it is) cakked 6-β-naltrexol has a half-life of 13 hours. I know that after swallowing a naltrexone tablet, you will be unable to feel the effects of IV heroin (for example) for days. This isn't the case with Naloxone, which wears off quickly and doesn't have any long acting metabolites that I'm aware of.
