^ OMG that looks boss!!! I haven't had a smoke for 9 days now and seeing something like that makes me want to go back and smoke again lol

That bong looks mad!!

I bought myself an "ols" brand bong (cheep chineese glass) but it has the diffusers in the stem and the neck of the bong and they work great, smooth as bong rips.

And if you keep it and the glass cone piece clean you get great flavour aswell (aslong as you got good bud aswell i supose)
I just use iso alcohol and rice or rock salt and swish it around every 2nd 3rd sesion. Keeps it sweet.

Fuckin that BONG is insane. Jealous. Want one.

Are they as easy to clean as your usual glassy bubble standard?

Kiwis, Australians top world dope list

Kiwis, Australians top world dope list

New Zealanders and Australians are world class dope heads - and the news doesn't come as any surprise to those battling the evils of drugs.

A series of papers about to be published in The Lancet, examining global drug use and law enforcement, says we have the highest levels of marijuana and amphetamine use of any region in the world.

Kirk Hardy from the New Zealand Drug Detection Agency says a similar study a couple of years ago also put our use of methamphetamine at the top of a global list.

"I think it's our relaxed attitude towards cannabis, that's the attitude that's been around for years,'' says Mr Hardy.

But says it's a dangerous drug, and a gateway to other drugs.

^^what a joke, to say marinuana is a danger because its a gateway drug is outdated.

I can see america legalising in the next 5-10 years but australia will never get close. (the way the australian government see thesubject)

I agree that last line is total wackness in that article, but i'm not sure america in all its states will legalise pot in the next 15-20 yrs. With so much invested in busting people (jails, police, sniffer dogs, politicians, assholes in general) i don't see it happening. I found this article from the Drugs-in-the-Media-thread.

Mom of 4 reflects on first year in prison for $31 pot sale

Full article with many pics and video and varied comments at the end

In blind pleas before a judge, Spottedcrow received a 12-year sentence and her mother received a 30-year suspended sentence. Neither had prior criminal convictions.

Because children were in the home, a charge of possession of a dangerous substance in the presence of a minor was added.

Now thats some bullshit there as well. Way to ruin lives over such a small amount of weed.

I think America will be overwhelmed with pro-legalisiationists and have no choice but to at least allow the law to pass that the states can make the decisions independently and the federal government will stop interfering.

After that Australia will begin to change but it will be another 5-10 years after that :(

Australia has highest users of cannabis in the world

Australia has highest users of cannabis in the world

AUSTRALIA has the highest rate of cannabis users in the world, with research revealing overall illicit drug use is worse than 50 years ago.

About 200 million people (estimated between 149 million and 271 million) aged between 15 and 64 use illegal drugs worldwide according to UN figures published in medical journal The Lancet.

Cannabis is the most widely used drug worldwide, with up to 15 per cent of pot smokers from the Oceania region of Australia and New Zealand, followed by North America and western Europe.

Three papers in The Lancet this week discussed global use and health effects of drugs including cannabis, cocaine, amphetamines and opioids like heroin and methadone.

Results: Marijuana

CANNABIS is easier to buy than pizza, says drug expert and will soon be Australia's smoke of choice, so why not legalise and tax it to benefit everyone?
Melbourne-based Centre for Alcohol Policy Research director Professor Robin Room said existing international drug treaties were not working.

"In terms of suppressing the illegal markets, there is very little evidence of success. The illicit use of drugs is very much greater than it was in 1961," Prof Room said.

National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre Professor Louisa Degenhardt said illicit drug use accounts for 1.3 per cent of deaths in Australia -- surpassing alcohol deaths at 0.8 per cent but well below tobacco-related deaths at 11.7 per cent.

Although opioid use was lower than in the 1990s, it remained the main cause of illicit drug-related deaths in this country. Prof Degenhardt said deaths and other health problems were related to drug use, including overdoses, injuries, assaults and in some cases, the spread of HIV through intravenous drug use.

While cannabis has a very low mortality rate, it still has negative health issues.

"Cannabis is by the far the most widely used illicit drug and levels of use are highest in North America, western Europe and Oceania, which in this case does include Australia and New Zealand," Prof Degenhardt said. "It's typically locally produced, it's available in most countries and by and large it tends to be the commonly used illicit drugs across all countries.

"It can cause morbidity particularly in terms of becoming dependent on the drug and probably contributes to the development of mental disorders and if used regularly in adolescence, contributing to poorer psycho-social adjustment during that time," Prof Degenhardt said.

Drug use worldwide

* About 200 million (an estimated 149 million-271 million) people aged 15 to 64 use illicit drugs worldwide

* 125-203 million smoke cannabis

* 14-56 million use amphetamines

* 14-21 million are cocaine users

* 12-21 million are opioid users

* 15-39 million problem users of opioids, amphetamines or cocaine

* 11-21 million people inject drugs

That is so disgusting, that article linked by poledriver, am I tripping or did she get 12 years prison in Western society for a first offence of a minor pot sale? How can the Government justify the effect that has on her 4 children as worthwhile or fair?!

As a bonghead it is sorta gratifying to see that in australia we smoke more dope than the rest of the world, last I saw iirc it was Canada leading. I think the ball is well and truly rolling on cannabis legalisation and while it is still something that is years away, we will see it in our lifetime even in Australia. I think as much as the powers that be in the US would love nothing more than to keep cannabis outlawed, once a couple of states legalise and start to notice all the benefits there is just no way any Government will be able to continue justification of these laws, as it is public opinion is changing more in favour of cannabis and I don't think this is going to change.

I know!! Messed up.

So they were arround marijuana growing up? They will be more fucked up from the fact their mum is gone for 12 years.

Fuck i grew up arround stoners, i own a house have a well paying job and doing "my bit for society" it just doesnt make sense to say the kids are screwed up from being arround weed. Fuck its not like they would have been giving it to the kids!

Thinking about quitting smoking. I want to invest in a vaporizer, and only vaporize from now on. Sure, I'll smoke a blunt with some friends once in a while, but I think the whole idea is to cut down on the intake of smoke, and to use Cannabis for what I benefit from it the most, such as aiding in my sleep, and helping me maintain a decent diet. I've lost interest in smoking in groups, it makes me quiet and anti-social nowadays, and I find it much more beneficial when I'm alone and able to think to myself without worrying about silly shit that can bring on unnecessary paranoia.

You may have a good point there Jake... After reading this i'm hoping you may be more on the money than me with that subject;

half of Americans support legalizing marijuana

here from the DITM thread.

There is a facebook group called Legalize Marijuana International that have wonderful articles keeping people up to date with the laws in America, a lot of states have turned in the last 6 months.

Even that proposition that failed recently to decriminalise was very close recently.

More Americans are seeing it for what it is and I also think political and pharmaceutical favour is turning towards it as the Gov. could save billions of dollars as well as make billions to help with their fucked up debts. The Pharm industry also see's the huge market to tap into. There is also huge money for the Pharm industry to tap into.
