The Bucket Head of the Year Awards - 2009

As stupid as some of those drug free commercials from 'Foundation for a Drug-Free World' campaigns are - christ they're well filmed/directed. Although unfortunately half of their scenes are stolen straight out of movies like 'Thirteen' (the heroin ad) and just plain bloody funny like the emo kid in the LSD ad. i cant get over how similar every one of those commercials are

the "innocent individual" tries a drug and
a) gets hooked, which leads them to theft and shotguns pointed all-round or
b) end up in hospital as all illegal drugs will result in hospitalisation

i hope everyone knows, alcohol is so much safer and every way

lmao at the crack doco on that site... "you can inject it"... can someone explain how one injects an insoluble substance? And i'm talking about your average run of the mill idiot, with no clue about chemistry?

I know that many freebases are soluble in different things, prop glycol, ether etc.. but most people have no idea about that...

You don't believe that? obviously you've never bared witness, or had a bad trip. That is all very true.. probably the most true of all the things inthat bullshit.

I've had bad trips, ive had good trips, i've had friends lose the absolute plot and wind up in psyke wards for months off just one trip mate... People take LSD far too much for granted as a party drug.
 
Keep up the good work. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry so I settled for a lot of face-palming.

Amazingly, I didn't see Christopher Pyne mentioned there. Can't he just get an honorary mention?
 
I've witnessed a godawful bad trip. Chick lost her marbles in the dunnies at a very prominent melbourne nightclub, and it was my job to pull her out. Pants down & everything. Had to be strapped to a stretcher wailing & gesticulating edgeways.... wasn't pretty (& she didn't shave down there, either :|)

but, yes. some of the shit that's been said in there is beyond embarrassing, not to mention disappointing! :\

Yes Christopher Pyne was/is one the worst offenders. He just missed out when I first started the BucketHead awards for 2008. Maybe a "Hall of Fame" is needed?

They do happen often. Of course, that all depends on the people taking the trips... they'll happen more often around mentally unstable people.

Everyone i know who has taken psychedelics has had a bad trip at some point or another, some quite regularly - some even crazy enough to take these drugs again in hopes it'll end their psychosis...

Bad trips definitely happen, as do uncomfortable ones which i think are more common, but i think it is very much a stretch to presume they happen more than good trips. For the most part bad trips can be avoided and if people are shown how to use acid then the risk is a lot lower.
