There is usually one one weight you can use for inexpensive sets of scales.

I'm sure a paragraph or so on what you think of the scales would be pretty good for anyone else considering buying some.
 
I have been scrolling through pages and pages of this post, but I can't find a direct answer to my question. I was planning on trying some MXE tomorrow, the scale that I already have is an AWS-100. I know it's not the most expensive scale ever, but will it do ok for measuring out MXE? I have read the measurements are not required to be as accurate for MXE as they are for RC's such as 2C.

Will the one I have be All right for MXE? And will I need to buy a new one if I decide to try anything in the 2C family? Here's a link to the exact model I have.

If your scales are only accurate to 10mg increments or commonly seem to be out by a few mg here or there, I really recommend weighing up a certain amount, e.g. 100mg, and then using Liquid Measurement to divide that into a smaller amount.

That way you have a greater degree of accuracy, plus a little advantage I found with liquid measurement is if you somehow make an error in the original amount, e.g. you manage to put 110mg in the liquid rather than 100mg - lets just say it's a 1mg/ml solution for the sake of ease, you take 20ml and that feels good - it doesn't matter if it's 20mg or 22mg in this case, because you know 20ml was a good dose for you, so taking 20ml the next time will be good regardless of any mistakes you made originally. :)
 
The Sartorius AY123 arrived today. Payed $270 + tax online. Use Google and put the item in your cart to see the price. I won't say the vendor so you won't think I'm an advertisement.

I'm new to what's going on around here, but I'm not new to high quality scales having used carat and pennyweight scales in a previous life. This item has the feel of quality to it considering the price I paid. It's made in the US by a German company. It's super easy and uncomplicated to use without confusing menus to navigate. Level the bubble, zero, hit the calibrate button. The 100 gram calibration weight that comes with it is stored in a slot on the device so you won't misplace it. Calibrate and your done. Capacity was advertised at 50 X .001 grams but when the item arrived it's 100 X .001.

The scale can do lots of things I'll probably never use. It can do grams, carats, pounds, ounces, Troy ounces, grains, pennyweights, Hong Kong taels whatever that is and more. You can program for counting, weighing in percent, totalizing, specific gravity and so on. If that's not enough you can buy a usb interface and plug it into your computer. There's some drift at the milligram level. A slight puff of breath will register about 20 milligrams briefly. I would not use this to measure single doses of X-NBOMe or DOx but for materials measured in amounts of 10 mg or more I'm confident in the scale.

Highly recommended.

I was looking to purchase a .000 (retiring my really nice .00 out). my price ranges would be from 100-250 maybe 3 if theres a model thats that much more woth it.

i was just wanting yalls prefrence on a nice reliable scale model i can read 1-2mg on accuratly on consistently, if anyone could help me out i would really appreciate i dont wanta blow money on some pos/

Although I prefer and own an old Mettler AE-series digital sub-milligram scale, before I got that one I used one like this extensively:

It's not dependent on battery-status and won't get damaged easily. Plus, it comes with weights down to 2 mg, and very accurate at that: I've tested it well. You can check it's functioning easily (should move freely up and down). The only drawback is that it requires a totally draft-free environment.
And, it looks totally cool =D
 
Ok so here's my deal......I'm looking into the tanitas 1210n which is like 250$

Low and behold I stumble upon the...
Tanitas 1230 mint @ around 100$

So tanitas 1210n ( expensive)
Vs
1230 mini....
Any experience or difference in these two models? I would assume the 1210n is pretty Damn nice but the 1230 can't be that bad ie..myweigh?

Any help greatly appreciated fellas.

Originally priced 220 on sale for 130$
Ohaus is areally nice brand. Any info out there bl'ers?
It says it reads .001

So now the dilemma...
Tanitas 1230 1-120$(only.002)
Gempro 250 160$ (.001)
Ohaus yj-103 (.001)

I am really leaning toward the ohaus just based on name and it goes to .001 also with wc adapter. Aaaaaaand its original price is that of the acculab vis123

I just got the satarius ay123 which is thr new version of the acculab (acculab shut down theyre satorius now) and am very happy with the results
 
as well you should be @ 270.....i just cant swing it right now.

on the other hand im wondering why acculab went under?

and i cant get away from the Ohaus name.....

still nobody with ohaus yj103 experience
 
There are lots of models with a pricetag lower than 50USD. That doesn't sound like a lot of money, in comparison with the stuff you need it for. :)

Doing it without a solution would simply be weighing more than one dose and splitting it up as you are doing now...
