The Big & Dandy 'Nausea and Psychedelics' Thread

I never get nausea on any psychedelic now that i've discovered ondansetron.

Not mescaline, not ayahuasca, not dxm

recommend you guys check it out.

5HT3 anti emetic. However it appears from my brief reading of the literature that it "blocks" serotonin, do you not significantly that alter the effect of the drugs you're taking ?

no affects on the psychedelic properties. it is highly selective for just the nausea receptors, although i have a tiny suspicion that it makes the psychedelic effects a little stronger.. but there's no way to prove that.

Hm interesting - is there any information about potential interactions with serotonin releasing drugs such as MDMA ?

I ask as it wouldn't be unknown for folks to combine a psychedelic & MDMA.

Any relevant lynx & information would be appreciated. :)

there isnt much info out there, actually. i can say that i've tried it with every major class of drugs without any interaction, myself.. but that is just anecdotal evidence. most studies have shown it has no known drug interactions and no common side effects.

Other than the cases of 5-meo-amt, 5-meo-dipt and the first couple of trials with 5-meo-dmt; I find stomach contents to have a more firm connection with nausea and vomiting than the drugs themselves. I am hypoglycemic, and low blood sugar gets me on occasion as well.

I've experienced nausea with 2C-E during my first experiments only, and with 2C-T-2, as well as 2C-T-7, but no vomiting for any of them (although I have yet to do high doses of the 2C-T's). I have vomited during the come-up of a particularly strong mushroom trip, but there was no nausea involved.

I would never take medication to prevent possible nausea with any psychedelic, as I believe the body-load associated with certain psychedelics is a part of the experience. I've found that the most rewarding psychedelics I've done also come with the most significant "body-load".

My experience as well.

I rarely get nausea from psychedelics, and I very rarely ever puke. The only time I can actually remember vomiting was from a rather high dose of DOC. That trip was filled with persistent nausea until I vomited around the 3 hr mark. Then I felt a million times better and did not experience anymore nausea.

I've gotten nausea from lsd, 2c-i, 2c-e, and mushrooms.

The only one I've not gotten any negative physical effects from is 4-aco-dmt.

ive gotten a little iffy on high doses of pure MDMA but i think that was when the come up would get a little too strong with molly aha

mescal always gives me a pukey feeling which is why i tend to stay away from it
same with any mushy

lsd is the only worry free hallucinogen. i seem to pay for others in some unpleasant way.

Mushrooms have been the worst for me. LSD the best.

But I've only puked once or twice out of the 40-50 times I've eaten mushrooms.

So overall, psychedelic nausea isn't that big of an issue for me... yet.

*bumps an old thread*

I always suffer from bad nausea at the end of an LSD trip. So I asked the pharmacist for some anti-emetics for general nausea. I was expecting to just get some ginger extract tablets or something like that but she gave me metaclopramide! I was stoked!
Had some LSD on New Years Eve and took 10mg of metaclopramide about an hour in to the trip. I repeated the metaclopramide in either 5mg or 10mg doses every 3-ish hours. It completely wiped out the nausea!!

10 points to metaclopramide <3

Metaclopramide on its own has some pretty bizarre effects on its own, be careful combining it with psychs...

Thanks for the tip egor.
It didn't notice it had any effect (positive or adverse) on my trip, were you referring to higher doses than what I described?
