The Big & Dandy 'Nausea and Psychedelics' Thread

thanks guys

is there a book out there that can explain more about the dangers of precursors ending up in the final product? how much is this actually a danger? i have heard someone on here mention that they have had acid where it felt like their stomach was eating itself.

keep in mind i was just TOLD this was acid. my gut (and i mean that literally) has been telling me for 2 weeks now that this must be DOC or something similar.

keep in mind of of my favorite things to do on acid is eat a good good meal. i was trying to eat hummus tonight when the bitter hit came on. (so bitter i had to literally spit it out.)

but the first question about the nausea would still pertain. i just didnt think a thread titled "advice for bad nausea on some unknown drug that is sort of like acid but lasts up to 24 hours and causes terrible stomach problems" would get the kind of responses i needed. (positive responses)

If there is a book I haven't heard of it ( which means nothing :D ) - if you happen across one do let us know tho :)

MayBEE type "analysis of street LSD" into a search engine & see where it leads you - I don't have the time or inclination.

I can tell you that around 100 people who regulary used illicit LSD took some genuine sandoz LSD a couple of years back & no ione could discern any differences
 
i recently had a batch of what was definitely acid that consistently gave me stomach problems. no idea why, but always got nausea.
my best solution for nausea on acid was to just puke. fine after that.

Is this "acid" on blotter? If so, does it have a bitter taste? If yes, check something other than acid, if not... it's probably LSD.

But yes it does sound to me with the duration and puking that you have acquired some other drug.
 
I like Rogers reply to this and agree completely. I find purging on Psychedelics (never have on LSD though) to be a very cleansing experience.

If you find it that bothersome most OTC anti-emetics work great for this kind o thing.
 
I've had nausea on LSD and only LSD, but only once, and I would have to say it wasn't the "cleanest" (again, whatever that means, let's not get sidetracked),but all in all, after I got done doing what I needed to do, all was well.

For nausea general, OTC or Rx anti-emetics, as well as ginger, and some other things, work well.
 
I took 4 hits of LSD and went frisbee golfing the other day and had a very strong nausea for about the T+20 to T+30 minute mark, but after that I had liftoff :D
 
I'm not really sure what it is, but sometimes I get nausea on LSD and sometimes I don't.

It usually has to do with set and setting.

For instance if I'm out at a festival having the time of my life I usually don't vomit. But if I dose with a bunch of new people I get really sick. It all depends.
 
I'm very prone to nausua in all cases, (cars, rollercoasters, booze, spinning in a circle)

And I find that certain batches of LSD seem to make me more nauses than others.

WoW seems to never make me puke, but the current hoffmans/stones hits, get me sick half the time. (even if I only eat a half hit).

But even still, I also think that set and setting plays an even larger role.
 
Nausea and certain Psychedelics!!!

I'm starting a thread about using certain psychedelics and the nausea that is possible from them. The thing is some seem to produce different forms of it as I used to puke everytime I did 5MeO-DiPT but I never really felt nausea at all I just puked. Now on 5MeO-AMT I did feel nausea but I never once puked??? Very puzzling but 2CT7 I not only felt nausea but I puked alot which always made me think whats the deal with that and i'm I the only one who gets this puzzling effect???

Chemicals I get nausea but no vomiting...

You know, it's funny, whenever I used to read about LSD and things like that there was always this huge positive with the whole "no body load/no physical effects" thing...and after 2 years after jumping into the psychedelic pool, I can tell you that every single psychedelic i have ever tried gives me horrible nausea and vomiting.

I guess I'm just unlucky, but what happens after the first hour is usually always worth it =D
 
LSD is the only psychedelic that hasnt given me the nausea that you can experience on the natural hallucinogens like mushrooms, ayahuasca, peyote, etc.

But I've never taken high doses of LSD.

Only thing that has made me puke was ayahuasca. I threw up once on mushrooms but that was also the one time i took them with chocolate (bad idea).
 
When I take alot of lsd at once (usualy around the mg range) I get nasua for the first hour, but only when I take high doses and never puke.

dxm i get nasua and sometimes, puke

ketamine, when i do it too fast i get nasua.

5-meo-amt gives me a nasty body load nasua.

2C-T-7 has given me some of the worst, most unpleasant and persistent nausea and vomiting ive had from drugs although for some strange reason it didnt feel that bad. but I do believe that one of the few deaths associated with T7 was due to aspiration of vomit which I can see as a danger especially is using something like a CNS depressant(alc, opes, benzos, G) or even ketamine so if you are game enough to use T7 id use it on its own or with MJ at most. Dont be irresponsible.

MDMA often makes me throw up and it makes people worry which makes me feel bad in the end, but it gets forgotten about and I tell them im fine, its just a little embarrasing.

LSD gives me a gut rot feeling, I think I may have thrown up from laughing so much once lol but thats about it. I think a glass of fruit juice would clear up that gut rot feeling but it that dumb tripping state of mind I didnt think of it. I think its more from eating a few bits of paper rather than the LSD, ive never done liquid so maybe if I ever got the chance(unlikely) id be able to tell whether its from eating paper or LSD.

Thankfully all round really psychedelics are very nice to me physically and psychologically. Im sure if you abuse these things then it will go the other way but im determined to keep these special experiences, special rather than ruin them with abuse and never want to go near the stuff again like I have with just about all other drugs.
 
Harmala makes me pretty sick to my stomache, I can more or less imagine ayahuasca for that matter...
2C-T-7 has made me queasy to the point of throwing up in the park but only a little, mild nausea continued for a couple hours. The next time I used it I combined it with weed and nitrous and 2C-B and had no adverse effects at all.
I can relate to the feeling of the nausea being 'not all that bad' ^^ on T-7

The first time or times I did acid my stomach wasn't feeling particularly sick but the tension made me burp literally every 10 seconds, sometimes fading and I got used to it - I definitely think it was manifested anxiety though.

On higher and especially big incremental doses of MDMA I can get violently ill but being to fubard to be annoyed by it. The worst time was when I did over half a gram combined with strong acid trips, I was totally wasted puking all over the place but so out of this world I didnt have an opinion of the matter. I really went too far that night, no wonder I was in bed for the following 3 days.

In general I think there are like 3 reasons for getting nausea from psychedelics, one being stimulation of nauseating parts of the brain, another stimulation of 5-HT3 (right?) receptors in the gut, and the last psychosomatic manifestation of anxiety. And I think all of these reasons differ for different drugs and even different people!!!
What I am also trying to say with this is don't be too hasty blaming one of these reasons when it can easily be another. The list given by the opening poster is not really convincing as some kind of rule since another person could have a very different list. Let alone the difference between having to throw up and not having to. Usually for me throwing up from nausea is something I seem to be able to control when I tap into that neural system, there are multiple ways to calm this tendency down. Calming a basic nauseating feeling may - I feel - depend on the reason for causing it.
 
Nothing makes me sick as a rule, I got some nausea with mescaline & stomach discomfort with DOxx & a little bit of stomach discomfort with 2CE. 5meo AMT is very super horrible stuff & ought to be avoided by all sentient beings & their pets - even that didn't make me physically sick - tho if it had it might have been easier in the long run.
 
I never get nausea on any psychedelic now that i've discovered ondansetron.

Not mescaline, not ayahuasca, not dxm

recommend you guys check it out.
