The Big & Dandy Methoxetamine Thread-10th Dose-Addiction? But I'm only on it 24/7...

I watched Eraserhead while on MXE & while it was definitely entertaining, it wasn't quite as disturbing as when seeing it sober. It's almost as if I was too damn comfortable to feel disturbed. And as strange as that movie is, I don't think any drug (even MXE) can make it more strange, or harder to follow :) Also regarding MXE & David Lynch, I had just gotten through the entire Twin Peaks series when I started with MXE & every time I holed I felt like Agent Cooper going th the Black Lodge. Add in the Twin Peaks soundtrack through good headphones & the picture is complete :)

It's by far the strangest thing ever made for "network television"

Does anyone else get an unpleasant spinning sensation on higher doses? It is unlike anything I have ever experienced. I think the best way is to describe it being spun like a rotisserie chicken. Like my whole body is being rotated around an axis that penetrates the top of my head and exits through the bottom of my feet. Very disorienting...

Vertigo is common with dissociatives, but I found MXE to be particularly efficacious at making everything spin and tilt.

Heh, I've posted that video before. Jimmy Scott's "Sycamore Trees" (written by Lynch) was/is a mainstay on my ketamine track lists. It's so haunting. I actually saw that clip before watching the series, but after seeing "Fire Walk With Me." It evokes the same mood even out of context. The whole swallowed by a phantasmagorical portal in a dark forest feeling it conveys works so well with dissociatives. Scott's appearance makes no narrative sense as he never appeared before, but it's one of the last events of the series. I think Lynch knew Twin Peaks wouldn't be renewed and wanted to go balls out with his central vision for his creation. It's obvious having seen and heard it before watching the series that it's the aesthetic gravity well around which so much that works texturally in Twin Peaks orbits.

So my fellow MEXYcans, I come for feedback in which I hope concurs with my recent findings with this glorious compound...

Am I the only one who thinks the best ROA is oral? I've tried IM, sniffing and eating this drug, and nothing seems to compliment the gradual peak of this compound than orally dosing it. One good bomb (100-200mg tolerance-dependent) definitely defeats the moreish character of insufflation, and keeps the same potency as any other ROA I've tried. What's your take on this matter?

oral hits hard and fast with an empty stomach. i prefer insufflated just because its more satisfying, mxe feels good to snort. and its a less confusing/more funtional high which i like but to get the most out of this substance nothing beats plugging imo

ive also tried smoking it along with weed. wouldnt do this a lot but its definitetely legit

Combo's

has anyone mixed this with 5 MEO DALT? im wondering if it will make it more visual?

and Ethylphenidate? i know stims are usually a bad mix, but was wondering if anyone had tried it?

regards alcohol and MXE, ive noticed some people say this is a bad mix, others say its ok, from my experience, as long as the alcohol is a low dose, ie one or two drinks, not drunk..its ok...but too much alcohol is not nice

Methoxetamine: From drug of abuse to rapid-acting antidepressant
Received 3 May 2012; accepted 5 July 2012. published online 23 July 2012.

Abstract
Methoxetamine is a dissociative anaesthetic showing pharmacodynamic similarities with its analogue ketamine, a medication with demonstrated rapid-acting antidepressant effects. Like ketamine and other arylcyclohexylamine compounds, methoxetamine is thought to be both a noncompetitive NMDA receptor antagonist and a dopamine reuptake inhibitor. Furthermore, it acts as an agonist at dopamine D2, serotonin 5HT2, muscarinic cholinergic, sigma-1, opioid mu and k receptors. The hypothesis is that methoxetamine can produce rapid antidepressant effects in patients with resistant and non-resistant unipolar and bipolar depression.

I imagine some or most people at a university should be able to access the full text thought the University's library proxy system. It's not clear from the abstract whether any of these claims have been experimentally verified. From "Medical Hypotheses" web site:
The Aims and Scope of Medical Hypotheses are no different now from what was proposed by the founder of the journal, the late Dr David Horrobin. In his introduction to the first issue of the Journal, he asks 'what sorts of papers will be published in Medical Hypotheses? and goes on to answer 'Medical Hypotheses will publish papers which describe theories, ideas which have a great deal of observational support and some hypotheses where experimental support is yet fragmentary'.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but I'm guessing what's said doesn't go that far beyond what's been theorized here and there on Bluelight (and the largest source of "observational support" is ... Bluelight), though it's still obviously a good thing and a hopeful sign to have most or all of the theorizing in one professionally produced and published article with a positive perspective on MXE.

I tend to not get along too well with most "legal research chems"... mxe is one of the few exceptions, and i certainly went thru a stage of heavy overuse and had to put it away for a while... now im fine... can have it sitting around and dont think to use it often.. the other, etizolam, i dont use recreationally really... more just as a sleep aid a couple times a month...

I found mxe nearly by accident... glad i did but the new stuff isnt close to the old stuff, sadly :(

An update from my perspective. I used the last of my MXE last Sunday. I felt like I had used enough of it and was ready for sobriety. Quite an amazing feeling as I've been wanting to escape sobriety as much as possible the past few years. Freedom! I feel like I successfully used MXE as a reprogramming and rehabilitation tool.

It's been 13 days since I last took MXE. I don't plan on ordering any more for the rest of the month.

I have done Ketamine since, but noticed that the MXE had some lingering side effects, such as high blood pressure but nothing too serious.

The quality has gone down dramatically. I receive domestically, but the supply is from China.

Seems as of late it's less dissociative and more stimulant-like. And it feels like it lasts forever! 8+ hours on a 100mg-150mg+ dose.

I'll be ordering 6, maybe 7 grams at the beginning of September however. We'll see what happens.

86mg sublingual produces a nice, mellow, wonky experience, but nowhere close to a hole. Insufflation, on the other hand, feels stronger than sublingual, more stimulating, and definitely moreish. I've never done 86mg in one shot up the nose; rather, I do a few smaller lines about 20-40mg over an hour or so before I reach my desired state. I've gone probably over 150mg insufflated over the course of 4-5 hours, leaving me very inebriated and dissociated. I could enter these beautiful trance-like states while playing djembe. Actually, I played some of the best in my life which is quite hilarious.

My product has all of the characteristic effects of MXE, albeit at much higher doses, leading me to believe I either must have really crappy MXE or a similar analogue, which provokes a few disconcerting thoughts about the quality and content of what I am ingesting. I am going to perform another trial tonight since I fully intend to finish off the rest of my bag before classes resume. For anyone interested, my batch has the consistency of salt, tastes relatively bitter, less so than MDMA, more similar to methylone but still quite different. Sublingual numbs my mouth and I am very anesthetized under the influence. Holing is very difficult on my product though. I'm not even sure I've holed yet and have never used ketamine in a proper context to compare.

Just thought I'd post. Bought my stuff late in 2011 btw.
