^you drank 4 bottles and it wasn't intense? That does not sound right at all. Did you throw up? How many mg did you take? What period of time did you drink them over? How often do you do DXM/other dissociatives, what's your tolerance?

Coconut milk can have a laxative effect. Personally, I don't think that would be very pleasant with 16 oz of cough syrup. Then again, I'm not sure how strong of a laxative it is, and other people may not have as much trouble digesting robo as I do.

Uncontrollable Itching on DXM
So a few months ago I had a pretty heavy DXM trip with a friend of mine, the trip was perfect no hinges or hangups (except one really uncomfortable moment in Denny's). However my friend at one point in the trip began to scratch his entire body. Not like a frantic uncontrolled itch, but a very calculated scratching starting at the very tip of his head and moving systematically down his entire body basically scratching every itch of himself. I couldn't help but laugh at how serious of a situation this was to him. I asked him about it and he told me that this happened to him every time he took a heavy dose of DXM. I believe this isn't an allergic reaction because once he finished he didn't feel the need or urge to itch again.
So I guess my question is, if anyone else has had a similar experience with a situation like this and could shed some light on it. Is it purely just psychosomatic or is it a looping type thing like an OCD tendency.

yes. its called robo itch. i used to hate.
the remedy is the OTC benadryl, or any other anti-histamine will do.
for me, these gets rid of that nasty itch completely, and also makes the comeup smoother and less nauseating.

See that's the thing, it's not the dreaded robo itch, because it doesn't linger. Once he is finished scratching every inch of his entire never the same spot twice, it stops.

Psychosomatic then I guess? Has he tried taking an antihistamine? Maybe it'll placebo it out of him.

He's tried antihistamines before with no avail. That's why I'm starting to believe it's purely some form of psychosomatic reaction. (Like my inability to have dirty hands when tripping without vomiting.)

Are all the people who experience itching on DXM taking syrup rather than the pure powder form or something? I have taken DXM (pure powder only) a lot, at doses ranging from 500 mg up to 1.7 grams and never once have I itched in the slightest during or afterwards...

^Well most people take the syrup, but I've gotten the itch from gels too, and sometimes I don't get it at all.
.5-1.7g, interesting dosage range, do you not like the lower plateaux, or is it just dissociative tolerance, or perhaps poor absorption of pure powder by the body?

I have taken lower than 0.5 grams (although not for a long time) and the high just bores me. So I tend to take around a gram normally. I have never tried getting wonky off gels or syrup so as for the absorption rate of powder in comparison to other forms, I can't really say. Also I do have high natural tolerance to most substances, although I rarely use dissociatives. Perhaps once a month... I do prefer being right out of it if I am going to use rather than just a little wonky!

I'm writing this reply in attempts to describe the curious effects of dxm and how it relates to spirituality/the universe.
Last night i robotripped relatively hard. I've found the visuals aren't exclusive to dxm and are similar in other hallucinogens so i won't bother trying to describe them. I do however wanna delve deeper into the sensations you feel and the connectiveness with the universe. I found myself being pulled left, right, up, down, forward, back. And i was quite intrigued by this. I like to associate gravity with our connectedness with mother earth and i feel like this connection was broken and i was more connected with the universe than with the earth. Your sense of gravity is certainly thrown off in this state of mind. I felt like my body was being sucked into a vortex on my left, right, top, bottom, front and back. The more i thought about what might actually be causing this the more i believed that it may just be that im more connected with time and space or more aware of it. When you get pulled in all directions it would really make sense that we're just more aware of the space in the universe(or the universal ether) that we are passing through. I could literally feel the earth/galaxy hurling through space, i could feel the dark matter rubbing against my face, being pulled to one side or the other in accordance with the earth, it almost felt like a vacuum was attempting to suck my entire being into it or the pulling to the left was actually just the earth spinning. The immense time distortions were there because time really was slowed in reality for me because my awareness was directed outward unto every individual square inch of space. Has anyone else felt like this? I'm sure you have but have you had any similar thoughts about these effects?
edit: I believe that what you believe is what makes up your reality. Since psychedelics break down your belief structures in the brain it allows you to experience the universe without subjectivity and in turn you can actually become aware of the little movements and wobbling of the earth and the inertia it holds. Hell even right now, sober, i can still feel the humming of the earth beneath my feet but because ever since i was born my body has grown rooted into the earth i've learned my center of gravity and dont need to worry about the movements of the earth warping me or my center

Yeah, I get those senstations on high dose dissociatives, I've never interpreted it quite like you though. But that pulling/spinning/omni-directional pulsing that you feel in ways incongruous with experience of the human physical form I have associated with raw existence and probably other things that would be words would be wasted on. I just think it's an effect of anesthesia, I sometimes get similar feelings when transfering between sleep and wakeful states.

Mucinex DM Dosage
So i just got some mucinex dm maximum strengh and wonderin how to take em. the pills have 60mg dxm. i weigh 130lbs. how many should it take to trip my balls off. also do i crush and swallow, how long will it take for effects to kick in? It also has 1200mg of guaifenesin in it shold i be worried
