The Big & Dandy Bufo Alvarius Thread

They are certainly not all "active" Please remember your talkking about something ALIVE being "active"- if you don't know how to milk these toads correctly, you will hurt or kill them. Also as said, bufotenine isn't considered pleasant or even rewarding, and there are plant sources that will regenerate, as opposed to a toad that will die if mishandled :\

having one as a pet would be pretty badass though.
idk...ill just have to pick up some mimosa and the like then.
 
It's an interesting animal, and might make a novelty pet, but as far as getting high from it; man the Bufotenine is the Toads revenge against the bastard that milked it!
 
Bufo Alvarius contains a high percent of 5meo dmt, rather then the rest of the bufo who conatin mainly 5ho dmt.

and they can be milked quite easily by placing a dog/cat/or ferret infront of them. they will sucrete there venom and that can be collected with a butter knife and put on a flat smooth surface to dry.

if you want to keep one, be warned that they are eating and pooping machines.

edit, I believe the percintage is around 4/1 of 5meo/5ho
 
^I think also a tickle under the chin stimulates the venom secretion....possibly a better method then arousing a fear response imo and risking making a meal of your toady friend :)
 
The last thing bufo toads need are clueless fucking teenagers chasing after them.

can anyone who has tried synthetic 5-meo-dmt (and or bufotenine) comment on the subjective difference between the isolated chemicals and the toad venom experience. i have always wanted to smoke some toad venom but have no desire to buy or raise a toad. i know couple of BLers have had toads at one point or another.
 
Anybody else have Bufo Alvarius toads!?

Just wondering if anyone else on this forum owns a pet Bufo? What do you think of the venom? I feel the perceptual effects and visuals aren't that impressive, but the psychological change that happens is very interesting. Feels like being an amphibian to me! I feel that I can somehow tell that this drug is derived from an animal rather than a plant by the effects. I have not tried synthetic 5-MeO-DMT, but would be interested to see the difference between it and the venom effects wise. <3 my toads :)

What about all the bufotenine as well? Plus the ten or so other alkaloids present? Whilst I hope and am sure you take care of your toad, I feel a bit uneasy using a living creature to produce drugs. It seems exploitative to me. Thats just IMO.

5-Meo-DMT is more common in plants, so any perception that its an "amphibious" drug is just perception. As to synthetic 5-Meo-DMT and natural, of course, there is no difference. When you smoke buf alvarius venom you smoke a shitload of other things too, accunting for the experience.

Wow, I'd never thought of keeping one as a pet. Could you possibly point me in the direction of any information on the toads?
