The Big and Dandy LSD/Acid Questions Thread III- 'The Bicycle Trip'

What drives a person to run around naked while on cid? I couldn't imagine freaking out THAT bad :o

I've never seen anything that drastic but some people just seem to lose complete control. One of my friends took a little more than he could handle and he kept spazzing out the whole trip... He would yell random nonsense and make sudden jerky movements, and couldn't seem to communicate with us at all. kinda hard us worried. Afterwards he said he didn't remember any of it

I may go visit him today, he was taken to the hospital and put in traction for his temporary psychosis. What I really don't understand is how or why he had such a bad trip. He only took two, and this was like his fifth time on acid. For some reason the cops have decided to drop all the charges of whatever goes with self-induced insanity in public. Perhaps because he is 17 and turns 18 in May, there will be no point in putting that on his record.
I don't understand cops at all, sometimes they are completely human, where they are there for you when you get yourself in trouble, being like "hey man just watch your step." While at other time some of them will be like "you step out of line and I will fuck you up so bad, it hurts just thinking about it." One of the cops that asked questions of the sober companion said "we don't care about weed, everyone does it." Why can't all cops be so down to earth as this one?
Sorry I have shifted from the topic so much.

can someone compare the gastrointestinal affects of lsd vs mushrooms? mushrooms have given severe stomach discomfort and i'm curious about the gastrointestinal affects of lsd.

also, are these drugs safe to use if you have/had had ulcers?

Well, I'm going to take LSD for the second time in a few hours...

Last time I took it, it was really awesome, but I didn't really gain anything spiritually, as I had hoped to. It probably wasn't that high a dose, considering I had minimal closed eye visuals, and it is the same dosage that I will have tonight.

Tips and tricks for getting on the path of spirituality while tripping? I had read about "letting go" of your ego; when I tripped last, I tried to let go, but I couldn't really find anything to let go of. :\

have you had spiritual experiences on other drugs?

I had some vaguely spiritual experiences with cannabis. Nothing very powerful.

Acid made thinking easy and flowing, but I never had any particular compulsions to think about anything spiritual. I tried, but I just wasn't in the "mood", you know? Cannabis suddenly and without warning gave me strange flashes of insight.

I've never really fully understood what the definition of the "ego" really is, in terms of what is lost during a powerful psychedelic experience.

Can someone try and define the "ego" for me?

^one's ego is the awareness of themselves, the awareness of the fact that you can call yourself "I".. that you have a name, know a language, maybe have a structured sense of time, just a general sense of knowing that you are a free thinking being and you can conceive thoughts when you want to or not.. your ego allows you to know for a fact that you are an individual being living in this moment right here on earth

in terms of what is lost when you take a psychedelic is really dependent on each person's ego.. but generally all these preconditioned things you think and know about yourself are stripped away and your left with nothing but the true nature of yourself, the being/energy that exists under all these pre-thought out opinions/assumptions of yourself

Interesting...

I don't think I had a full-blown ego-death or anything last night, if that is the definition of the "ego", but something very interesting did happen to me.

I was thinking about music, and how music is one of the primary "carriers" of emotion. I started wondering how we can feel positive emotion through music, and to make a long story short, I went down a looong train of thought, and I kept discovering things along the way that made the universe more and more completely impossible to understand. This eventually led to my complete surrender and utter submission to the universe, and once I told myself that I was not in control, that the Universe was in control, I felt an incredible relieving of pressure, physically, and mentally.

And the catalyst for this entire experience was Younger Brother. :D I listened to "The Last Days of Gravity" during the 3rd hour of the trip, and it was absolutely mindblowingly fantastic. =D =D

(To any psychedelic-electronic music fans, I highly recommend the album.)

Sorry for the rambly post by the way, but my brain is still a bit shattered from the intensity of that experience.

^ You are in control if you want to be but how does the universe control you? Maybe you are the universe subjectively experiencing itself and that you have more control over your reality than you think. Try thinking from various angles. Just some food for thought to toss around. Good luck in your journey :-)

Yeah, that's pretty much been my view for quite some time now.

I think part of what I was discovering during my trip was my belief that control is just an illusion. Since I am the universe, and I believe that the universe operates & time moves forward on some sort of fundamental laws, I (the universe, or a fraction of it) have no "control" (if such a concept even exists) over the ebb and flow of the universe. Sort of similar to a clock; as time moves on, by nature of the way the clock works, the hands rotate. The clock can't decide to stop moving... it just does.

(Although most everything that I believe is usually subject to change in the future anyway... hell, I barely know what I believe right now.)

So yeah, as you said, I'm just tossing around ideas. Thoughts?

has anyone reagent tested any of blue swiss/crush? i kinda feel dumb questioning it being what it is, but im still left skeptical, seeing how chemistry constantly evolves and new things develop that can replace older things.

Is there a difference in strength between liquid L or is all liquid the same?

Possibly a dumb question, but I gotta know!

liquid lsd is lsd dissolved in a liquid, such as water. the strength will all depend on how much lsd you dissolve in how much water. so all liquid is definitely not the same.

It is never dissolved in water. Chlorine attacks the LSD molecule.

Depending on how diluted it is, the strength will vary.

there is usually not any chlorine in water. only in chlorinated tap water (maybe in chlorinated bottled water if such a thing exists). i have seen a few drops of LSD dissolved in a bottle of tap water (not chlorinated around here) before and it did work quite well.

for better storage life Ethanol or a solution thereof is usually used instead of water to dissolve the acid.
