^ I've got loads of tiny bits of shrapnel embedded in muscles from when I lost my hand & they cause no bother whatsoever as they were sterile when they entered (by virtue of the heat generated in an explosion). Sterile abcesses from injections are really just voids in the muscle and are reabsorbed pretty quickly; it's the ones due to bacterial sepsis that you have to be careful about
 
Well, assuming a non-sterile injection ... I'd feel that IV is safer, assuming there is no largish particulate matter ... maybe it is up for debate, but I sort of stick with the conventional wisdom here.
 
I keep hearing abscesses are very common with non-sterile IM injections...how common? Me and my two closest ketter friends have IM'd a pound of ketamine between the three of us. Most of it was put into a water bottle in Mexico straight from the original vials then split up into non-sterile vials or water bottles before we used them. About a third of our K was from an online supplier in powder form. One of the friends usually just uses tap water while me and my other friend either used regular bottled water or distilled bottled water. Non of us have ever had an abscess. I’ve even seen a few people IM street ecstasy without getting abscesses. So are we just lucky or is it not really all that common?

And I cringed, very much in the real world, I fucking cringed when I heard about IM'ing "street ecstasy." WTF???? I would not go near molly, let alone a pressie with a needle. FFS.

Sorry if this has been asked a few times, but after using the search engine i'm still not too sure which types of K i have.. I seem to be getting a bit of a mixed result. I've had both types of K on numerous occasions, but have been unable to pinpoint which type it was- heres a brief rundown of my experience:

Colour & appearance: very fine, snow white
Dosage: 250mg
Affects: This would be a very strong psychedelic experience for me. After railing about 200mg initially, i would find myself walking funny and things looking awesomely cool. 10 minutes into the experience i would be able to insufflate 50mg more, and find myself dropping into and out of a k-hole very easily. This was always a very fun experience for me. =D

Colour & appearance: coarse, off light-brown
Dosage: 500mg-700mg
Affects: This experience was never as fun as the above. After railing 100mg it would come on strong, but it would be more sedating and almost no psychedelic effect from it. A few times I tried to get into a K-hole on this stuff, but I found it impossible even after insufflating 500mg-700mg in one sitting.

Now :D, would I be right to assume that my first experience described was probably s-ketamine (stronger, more psychedelic?) and my second experience was with racemic? (more sedating, hard to k-hole in?). Once again, sorry if this has been already asked..

I can’t really remember the colour exactly, I'm thinking it was wrong of me to call it "off light-brown." it definitely wasn't white though, and had a very-slight brown colour to it. Perhaps light-beige would be a better description of it.

Check out on wiki "beige" and that closely resembles the colour I’m talking about. :)

I would really, really, really strongly recommend insufflating the ketamine if you do not have a pharmaceutical preparation meant for injection, or you won't buy the micron filters and syringes (larger ones for dealing with all the fluid) for whatever reason.

I filter all of my stuff through qtip cotton (tryptamines, ketamine, opiates). Is that a problem? I was under the impression that its fairly good for getting out particulate.

I haven't IVed a lot though, a few dozen times total. Will I run into problems continuing to do this?
 
I meant more for IM or SC injections.... you really don't want to inject a bunch of bacteria into a muscle.
 
does anybody know where online you can buy a good deal on bulk wheel filters? (you can post sources so long as its for harm reduction purposes).

my muscles thank you in advance!
 
You can buy 'em from here, not exactly cheap, but the cheapest I've seen.
 
research-supply.net has the best prices I've seen for a plain web shop (not an auction thing where everyone can see what you've been buying), but you'll have to get like 100 or so.
 
If they are sterile and .22 micron I think you should be straight.

They look just like the ones I used to "liberate" from the hospital.

Hahah...yeah. They weren't my friends that did that cuz I sure wouldn't of allowed it. Just some junkies at an after party, the pills were bright blue too. 8)

From my understanding rolled up cotton is about 1.2um

Could be wrong but I think this refers to the size of the filter. A larger filter could filter a larger volume of solution.
