i saw that many ppl recommended against using heroin and k, would the same apply to hydrocodone or oxycodone? i'm not addicted to opiates so i can go a few days without taking them if i felt the need but i'm curious, if i take a dose of opiates in the late afternoon (say 3 or 4pm) would it affect my k-hole later on in the night (9-10pm)?
 
I can't say for sure with any real opiates, but I've usually taken kratom, which acts as an opiate, sometime within a few hours before I take ketamine, and I have never noticed anything. Then again, kratom does not depress breathing. My guess is it would be fine, as long as you didn't take a large dose. The danger of combining the two lies in respiratory depression. I would say with hydrocodone is would be just fine 5 to 6 hours later, and with oxycodone I'd be a little more careful (because it's stronger and lasts longer).
 
thanks. i don't take large doses of opiates to begin with (15-20mg at a time) but i was probably going to take ~175mg of k in total (i think that's about how much i have left, it could be less; either way, i'm finishing off my stash) so i wanted to stay on the safe side. if anything, i can push back the time i'm going to take the k so the opiates have a little more time to wear off
 
GenE, I would be careful mixing ketamine and opiates. Remember the respiratory effects of opiates outlast the euphoric/psychological effects, at least ime.

Ketamine + opiates is asking for trouble!
 
that was my main concern hence the reason i asked. i mean, i could just skip my dose for the day but then where's the fun in that? i like having a few hours of opiated bliss after work, it's a nice way to wind down. i'll definitely keep the warnings in mind, though.

Ketamine and opiates is pretty amazing for me and a few of my friends. I call h + k Hello Kitty :D

but as of a few of our friends have found it's easy to take it too far. A couple friends of friends that have major opiate addictions have run into some problems using K with it. Should be expected when you can barley keep your eyes open 5mins from the opiates alone.
 
^ you're increasing the chances of respiratory failure greatly. You have to really be aware of the doses and know EXACTLY how your body will react to the combination. If you're not very experienced with both, I'd say don't mess with it. The risks are too great (ODing).

Ketamine is already too unpredictable especially if you don't do it a lot.

Killing yourself on this combination is a very real risk. :\

+1. I should have given more warning. I wouldn't suggest it unless you know ketamine very very well, and have good experiance with opiates. I don't do it alone... usually my GF and I do it togather and take turns with the K so there isn't the chance that we both have problems at the same time and need medical attention.
 
Ketamine & Depression

Does K get anyone else depressed the following day? It never used to make me this way untill recently i started doing alot more, and more frequently. Can anyone else relate to this?
 
This is interesting. Almost everything else I hear relating to ketamine and depression goes the exact opposite way -- using ketamine to relieve depression, and we've recently accumulated some scientific evidence to this effect, apparently. I personally don't feel either way ... intense K experiences tend to be kind of disturbing for me, and can leave me feeling a little empty the next day, not-so-intense K experiences I don't really feel much from, but I wouldn't say there's much effect on my mood either way.

Anyone else?

I've only used the drug once, and I didn't feel drained in any way shape or form the next day.
 
K has been an extremely effective antidepressant for me, it leaves me with a very positive mood/afterglow for at least a week after use. I suppose anything can be overused though.

You kinda answered your own question there dude.

Ketamine generally leaves me feeling good after the experience, as with a lot of the responses here.

However on one particular occasion I did a very large amount and felt a bit "cracked out" the following day.

I just let my boyfriend inject me with 25mg of K IM (then i injected him with 45mg). First needle ever... eek. Will report back tomorow. <3 <3 <3

wish my girlfriend was tolerant enough of substance use to inject me. lol
 
So the shot of 25mg was a bit weak... i ended up railing some more to get the desired effects. 25mg felt like i was just about to get drunk, 1-2 drinks, warm glow, minimal psychedelic effects. I asked to have a 50mg shot prepped but then wouldn't let delsyd stick me with it because I suddenly became scared of the needle... plus IM K BURNS like HELL! Almost as bad as it burns nasally lol.
 
i prefer subq bc IMing the stuff makes my muscle sore (whatever muscle its injected in).

subq the worst that happens is you get a little itchy red spot that goes away after a day or so.

Today i have two sore butt cheeks from IMing Ketamine.

Also am i not human or something?
i IM'd 150mg last night and still was semi coherent, no K-hole. And i only weigh 140 lbs.

Next time it'll be ~185mg IM.

i want to Hole, its been to long for me.
