Anyway, if 50mg is a standard dose as the OP is suggesting, you'll have twenty doses of that level- 1000/50=20/

just 20mg IV was one of the most frightening drug experiences of my life

*this is with very little tolerance
 
^Why do you think there is such an extreme difference between IM and IV or any other route and IV?

Also, what route is used in medical settings? Might merge this into B&D...
 
Pharmacologically speaking IV and IM should be pretty close in terms of dosage, but they're not, at least subjectively in terms of how easy the experience is to handle. I think a lot of this has to do with the dissociative "rush" of feeling your soul ripped from your body in seconds.

When I IV'd ket, the first 30 seconds or so felt like nitrous oxide and were enjoyable, after that, time ceased to have any meaning whatsoever, my thoughts became chaotic, nonlinear, and looping, and I felt like my consciousness was metaphysically being surgically dissected. Disturbing, disturbing, disturbing stuff.

I'm told by those who were there that I pulled the needle out of my arm, smiled, remarked that it was like nitrous, and then soon my eyes glazed over,stared off, and I got a blank expression and it was obvious I was not having a good time...
 
I think its a drip in medical settings, swilow, I could be wrong though it might be a regular IV shot. Anyways, its really apples to oranges, because in the medical setting it is not done for recreational purposes...its done to anesthesize the person...if you get that large of a dose at home, then you've probably messed up weighing out your stuff (accidentally taken too much).

IV ketamine just felt....wrong....and weird....not at all like the warm and loving embrace I was used to snorting, subq, IMing it. It felt like a cold and harsh bitchslap.
 
I quite literally still get chills thinking about my IV K experience. "SPOOKY" would be a good description.

I know at least one BL'er liked IV K, though, and did pretty high doses of it, at that. Maybe he'll chime in.
 
Does anybody else get a noticeable shift in the perception of their own body? How is your 'body-image' distorted? I sometimes notice I perceive my body on ketamine as more frail than I do sober. Its very strange....its actually one of the only effects of ketamine that I dislike...

other times I feel much more 'stout' and sturdy than usual...more 'tree-like',
 
i sometimes feel like my limbs have switched places.

and if im cuddling i sometimes cant tell where i end and she begins.

As for IV Ketamine. For some reason i can see that being quite good. I think i would like that dissociative slap in the face.

I often get the feeling that a part of me is 'broken' in some inexplicable way, or cracked. Same with nitrous....18 months ago I accidentally gashed my hand open, requiring surgery- when I returned home, I used nitrous a lot intially- but it actually increased the discomfort of my hand whilst decreading the pain. My hand felt so obviously NOT-RIGHT yet not painful. I preferred the pain to the not-right feeling.

yeah true, coz contary as what most people think ketamine is not just being wobly and disorientated and loosing your balance

get a bit further into a deep keyhole and welcome to one of the most intense and mistical experience of ur life

i don't do K very often but last weekend was prety heavy,
150mg in a line (not that much for people who have already developped a big tolerance, but for me who take it once a month... HUUUUUGE !!)

after 10 min, felt direcly into keyhole, basically i felt like my body was collapsing on itself, shrinked and everything around me started disstorting into a kind of vortex into which i was swalloed... and then, no contact with reality during half an hour.
basically K is a dissosiative anestesic, ur mind get split from ur body which kinda disapear... waaoaoooo matrix... lol
more seriously: near death experience
my friends told me i was rolling on the ground (on the duvet and cutions they put there for me... nice little fellas) and moving my arms like if i was flying
and i remember a bit o that, when i started to come back and be sensitive to my environnement : colours, chilled out music, contact between skin and nice soft duvet =)
...
u better have a strong mind i u go that far

really? I found it really nice. I'm also always very stoned on pot when I did it. Actually it's one of the more enjoyable states I've been in (did you take too much ketamine? I always keep my ketamine doses very low around 45mg) and also ooze the nitrous in slowly not in one big rip.
