I used to receive 3 2mg xanax bars, and 4 20mg adderols a day from my psych, and 3 5mg percs a day from a wacky swiss doctor, who was also fond of giving whoever, a shot in the leg of demerol whenever you went to see him. I really don't miss those days though, and seriously don't miss coming off that xanax. Currently I am prescribed 3 20 mg adderols and 9mg of Sodium Oxybate, otherwise known as Xyrem, or GHB a day, with 3 1mg klonopins which I only take one of, and just got results from an mri that show 4 herniated discs in my back as a result of my seizures ( I'm epileptic, no relation of seizures to the xyrem, also narcoleptic, no relation of epilepsy to narcolepsy, just ridiculous coincidence) upon the demand of my neurologist I went to have my back checked out again. 5 years ago I had an MRI and it showed that 3 of the discs were only slightly herniated, although now, as a result of my muscles contracting during seizures, the bulging parts of the discs are touching the nearby nerves and a lot more of my lower back is hurt. The doctor wants me to see a pain management doctor but I am very hesitant to being prescribed pain killers. I spent years struggling with opiates and have been clean for over a decade. I know they're not gonna give me 9 oxy 80's a day, or whatever my tolerance would end up demanding in about a month, so I am doubting if there is any point in getting anything written. I threw away the 60 10mg hydrocodone script that the doctor at digital imaging wrote for me, and I can get by tolerating the pain that I currently have, it doesn't prevent sleep except for the two days immediately following a seizure.
