The Benzodiazepine Thread v. IV

I don't feel any bad taste when taking zopiclone. I must be lucky, because I really like the drug. But zopiclone tolerance runs fast!

Zopiclone for me, makes my food taste yuck until about 3-4pm the following day and i used to dose 2-4 tabs of 7.5mg. Good for knocking you out, but there are so many better alternatives. I read on BL once someone snorted one haha imagine that drip.

i cant stand the taste its retarded when drinking water or juice the next day

Were you still capable of having severe panic attacks when you went off the xanax? After the psych ward released me my doc did put me on Klonopin or (Chlonazepam (sp?). And tho I didn't have a panic attack I felt completely uptight/tensed up all the time. It wasn't long before I was using more than the recommended dose just to feel at complete ease - not to feel 'high' - I truly don't see how benzos make one feel high...... act drunk maybe if you take too many....... but no 'buzz'. And did you ttry the grapefruit juice? I'm tempted to try it.
I'm starting my own little craft-type online business and this should keep me very busy....... which I know will cause me to need less xanax. I'm barely past the idea stage at this point in my business :) Also, I've been watching the DVD The Secret - which I find very inspiring and sort of like a self hypnosis tape - I used one of those I loved yrs ago and it really helped me overcome my panic attacks! For 13 yrs....... I had almost NO panic attacks. and when I did I had great coping methods. So I know it takes time but works.
Thank you so much for your reply. I'll try the grapefruit juice myself and see if it works for me. And I'll certainly take your advice about the klonopin...... it's certainly worth another try!

mas dice benzo tolerance

ok, I like benzodiazepines, however i do not use them often. I took 20 2mg clonazepam in one go and barely felt a thing (a little stumbling etc but little euphoria). same with diazepam, 100-200mg give almost nothing what the fuck???? and this is pharma grade not RC or stupid shit, it works for others. anyone have this experience? Oh yes, and I don't drink much either so it's not tolerance from there.

(oh and throughout the day I swallowed another 80 of those 2mg clonazepam + 40 10mg diazepam)

^ have you had more immersive effects from benzos previously? they can be fairly subtle.
do you use any other sedatives or GABAergic substances? there could be some kind of cross tolerance at play...?

i have the same problem. i think im going to give up on benzos. i got some oxazepam the other day and went through 10 x 30mg and had no effect. valium and stilnox have no effect on me whatsoever. Ive never been dependent or binged hard on benzos, ive just never had the rec or any effect everyone else gets. i give up!

Lots of people don't find benzos recreational and can't understand how others do. I think it's more than just people finding different experiences enjoyable, from what I've seen/heard they just effect some people a bit differently to others.

a common link i've found between those who find benzos recreational/fun are those who are usually prone to some kind of anxiety issue, though not always true. just seems to be the common factor in my "case studies". as well as those whose DOC are downers.

I have generalized anxiety disorder and I find zolpidem as well as diazepam (usually) recreational I just don't get why this stuff did not get me fucked! My favorite benzodiazepine so far has been bromazepam as it has been the only one that has consistently given me effects.

PS. I have take around 35mg zoplicone and felt almost nothing and I doubt it's cross tolerance since I don't really use any GABAergic drugs. I am an opioid guy!

Fucking hell, the media have demonised prescription opioids enough without moving onto benzo's now too. These drugs are already difficult enough for the people that need them to acquire there is no need to make things worse. :|

^ ha! Thats funny, i posted a comment on that news story (which wasn't published) criticising their typically sloppy journalism. They spell temazepam 3 different ways in the same story! Two incorrect spellings and they get it right once.
Its not like its a slang word, open to interpretation....yet another reason i dont trust anything in the corporate media; its all ignorant, sloppy with the facts and pushing an agenda.
Shit journalism, shit (sub)editing and too much focus on inconsequential crap.
I dont care what this dickhead's excuse is - domestic violence is wrong, regardless of what drug you try to blame. I blame temazepan (sic) and demazepam (sic) personally.
What a joke.

Agreed. They have this quote by a doctor too (under the title 'Highly addictive: Doctor's warning on stillnox') which reads:

Dr Brian Sando - who has attended every Olympics since 1980 - said athletes should use relaxation techniques instead of sleeping pills because they could lead to dependency in less than a week.

There's no reference to stillnox here, just 'sleeping pills', and I wonder whether they've just pulled out a quote originally meant to refer to benzos (though even 5 days to dependence for that would be an over exaggeration) and blindly applied it to stillnox, assuming that sleeping pills are sleeping pills...

The media feel they can bullshit about drugs all they like because the public have been brainwashed into accepting it all as fact. Especially if a "doctor" (or "expert") says it - regardless of the context.
Sad really, but not surprising in the least.

I bet the Herald Sun is sponsored by the makers of some "safe" OTC sleep med manufacturer or something haha.

^^ Absolutely. Im afraid to watch that show on xanax. Just gonna make me wish I had some =D

I used to use xanax recreationally, and I think the reason it was recreational for me is that I have an anxiety disorder.Taking 6-8mg of xanax would leave me in a blissed out care-free state. It took away all the worries that constantly intrude on my thoughts pretty much all day every day.

However I've given a 2mg bar to several friends in the past (who've never tried a benzo) and they just fell asleep,or got into kind of stumbling drunk kind of state, and didn't really get what the hype was about.

Hells bells I would love to watch that. I just finished a chapter on Benzos in my pharm tech training. Slort, do you think there will be a way I can stream it in Cali?
