Was about to say it's all about quality not quantity then realised I have more posts than you hehe..

Pfft, macs. It's all about PCs (except not this stupid mini laptop :! )
 
I wanted to say the same thing, Trips;
Mac POWER!

except... they're just as vulnerable to things like pints of water...
I run my apples into the ground; been using them since i had a milk bottle in my hand.

I suppose if I was used to macs it would be okay, I just get frustrated if I have to use one, everything seems so difficult haha..

I just want my old laptop back, it had the best assortment of stickers, holographic kittens and promo stickers from various nights. Come on insurance people, fix it for me!
 
WINE allows for plenty of pc games to be played on macs
I currently use it to play Fifa 12; complete with an xbox 360 controller

They may not be cheap but you get what you pay for in terms of product quality, prettiness, support etc...
I've used my faire share of dirt cheap pc's - it never turned out well. So i'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for w/ computers.
You can spend just as much money on a nice pc laptop as you would on a mac - I don't think there's that much of a gap

It makes life easier for me in academica/ science research using a mac simply because its not far from using linux /unix - coding, compiling, shell scripts, data processing, etc... all that jazz is just easier to use imo from the get go; not that they can't be done from windows.

I have my harddrive partitioned with Windows seven as one half and OS-x Snow leopard.

The funny thing is that it runs windows better than most PC's.

Games work perfectly. It runs them better than my brothers Dell anyway.
 
I don't really use mine for anything apart from browsing the net, listening to music, watching films and occasionally doing a presentation or something so justifying the expense of a mac isn't really an option.. I just want one that works (and can cope with having a pint of liquid chucked on it from time to time ;) )

It's nice if it's a sexy colour too. Last one was red and shiny :D
 
I really need a new computer, the netbook/ps3 combination is so frustrating I feel the need to throw them both through the window, gonna get a desktop and/or a laptopomabob at the weekend as my pension refund comes in then so I can be online properly. I literally can't handle it with a mouseless laptop or a keyboardless ps3, it absolutely drives me crazy, the only good thing about the netbook is that I can use AIM on it perfectly easy enough, but browsing the web takes a decade to get to each new page so makes me want to kill myself(not really) but still makes me want to kill someone, lol.

Hope everyone in BDD is good this evening.

PJ, from the stats listed earlier it seems that about 90% of your posts on the whole site are in this forum, I think there are some sinister tactics going on ;)

Just had a nice evening playing ridge racer in the living room with a flatmate and chatting about shit, is soooooooo much better having a communal living room, we are having a flat party saturday night too =D obviously I wont be pulling the baggies out but I can drink, although I do have to work on Sunday :( and all next week. Looking forward to the weekend after next so I can MXE my way to heaven 8)

Yeah effie, it was meant to be tomorrow actually but I had to change the date (so now im waking up at 5am to catch a train to brighton uni :p) so i'm gonna be around bristol some time next month

Sorry you have to now, I don't want to close a thread you've specified to leave open, it looks bad.

Besides i've already UA'd my post, closed the thread and re-opened it... I'd feel silly re-closing it lol.
 
Haha. This is almost as much complication as when we double-team close a thread and it ends up reopening itself.. I'll close it then :D
 
Haha yeah it's pretty funny :D it could have gone either way though, that one I think. Anyway, sorted now :)
