Does dxm as a potentiator for hydrocodone have any adverse effects in terms of sedation? Would diphenhydramine be better? - although I don't want to just fall asleep right away I'd like to have a nice body buzz for a while

I am looking to get a bit more out of these 7.5/750 vicodin's tonight but also want to be able to sleep well, granted I can always take clonazepam or temazepam if I really can't sleep but w/ the opiates on hand I'm trying to give the benzos a break for a short while

- also I'm watching a stream of the Africa cup of nations Final; Ivory Coast v. Zambia, its a stream of iTV4 - I'm finding that the uk commericals (at halftime and what not) are a lot more bearable than those here in the states. Maybe I'm just not used to them however.

Diphenhydramine is a CYP-2D6 inhibitor, and CYP-2D6 is needed to convert hydrocodone to hydromorphone so actually, I don't think that is something you want to do. Hydromorphone is largely responsible for the opioid effects of hydrocodone AFAIK.. Usually CYP-2D6 inhibition is a good thing as it keeps the opioid in your system for longer, but not if it is needed to convert it to an more active metabolite. This may not be correct haha I'm not 100% sure about the pharmacokinetics of hydrocodone..

DXM I have never tried (as a potentiator or not) so can't help you there I am afraid!

Remember to CWE if you are going to ingest more than 2g of APAP in one go or 4g in 24 hours.

I had just assumed the usual opiate potentiators would work fine but hadn't considered that HC is actually metabolized into HM.

I'll just experiment with the DXM tonight then. maybe 30mg 30ish ins before taking a 7.5mg vicodin

What ever I've got left of these vicodins when I'm fully healed from the wisdom tooth ordeal I'll save to do a CWE one day.
For now I'm not taking more than 1 a day so the apap amount is ok.
 
To be honest I am doubting myself now hehe, I don't know how significant an inhibitor it is and if it actually has a noticable effect or not. I just like pharmacology (despite not knowing as much as I would like to ;) )

had 3 of 4 taken out... all but one has healed up nice and quick. The one tooth that was more impacted is the one that still bothering be a bit and not healing as fast. I have to get the 4th tooth taken out at some point by a full oral surgery team since its proper fucked... I imagine if not the same vicodin 7.5's I'll get rx'd something more interesting... not to mention more than just novacaine for the procedure...
 
Ooof, nasty.. glad you are healing though and I would certainly hope you get some decent analgesia if you are having full-blown orthodontic surgery for the 4th one!

I've not been to the dentist in too long, pretty scared now despite not having any problems with my teeth (touch wood..)
 
I never minded going to the dentist, but my last two visits were pretty horrible. I had a root canal done, and I was bugging out. I had to get up and leave for a minute to pop another xanax. This dentist sucked with administering novacaine. So much ended up going down my throat, which is mostly why I bugged out because I felt like I couldn't breathe since my throat was numb. I literally jumped from my chair a little later when he hit the root, and when he went to give me more novacaine, the needle wasn't in my gums (it was just pressed against them) so when he pushed the plunger the novacaine squirt up into the air, and landed in my eye. Yea. I should have been reimbursed for all the xanax I ended up having to take that day.
 
well I have to recommend going when you get the chance. I've always loathed the dentist but when i finally found I needed my wisdom teeth out, i kept putting it off and waiting and waiting. Now I'm only wishing i would have just gotten this all over with earlier. Not to mention they told me about all these other problems that need tobe addressed in my mouth.

I'm certainly a lot more serious now about the are for my mouth than I ever was before...
 
pretty disappointed in etaqualone to be honest although maybe im just shit at chasing,lol, tried some low snorted doses too and an oral dose before dinner but nothing amazing to write home about.

actually now that i think about it - i much prefer sedatives... and those aren't so work enhancing...
my insomnia is bad enough, were i to take amps during the day i think i would surely never sleep again
 
Haha, well I never said it did. I just told the mods to get some amphets and get to work. ;) :p

Also - I find an early dose of adderall XR actually gets me moving around enough to be tired at night instead of restless and still having energy. Though I was up at like 4am the other morning organizing my gf's wallet / purse after a show lmao.

Ooh! I need new glasses so badly haha, my eyesight isn't tooo bad but I could do with them for watching films etc.. I quite like seeing the world in soft focus though, much more pleasant than harsh reality..

I'm going to need to see your new glasses in TC at some point Lou!
