The Fact of the Month competition has been going slightly downhill with less and less facts being produced each month and a very small amount of topics to run with (failing repetition). I wish to however keep with producing facts about HR and Basic Drug Use in here in a fun manner with a prize - The custom title BDD Fact Finder. Which may or may not be altered slightly to become the BDD King or BDD Queen.
The new format will essentially be a monthly quiz in which you compete against each other to answer questions to earn points. Each question will be worth one point and the member with the most points at the end of the month will be the winner.
I will be your new quizmaster, and here is how the proceedings will work:
• The quiz will run on a monthly basis. This month, I will post a number of questions, with points for correct answers, and the poster with the most points at the end of the month will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, the competition will become sudden death, with the first to gain a point winning the round.
• The questions will, naturally, all be related to Basic Drug use. They may be about the biology, the history and culture surrounding it, the chemistry or pharmacology of Recreational and non Recreational drugs... anything really! I will try to vary the nature of the question enough that people with different specialist areas of interest will all have a fair chance. I welcome the submission of questions via PM by other users, but bear in mind that you are somewhat hamstringing yourself as you obviously cannot answer your own question.
• The winner of the quiz each month might receive the title “BDD King”! Or “BDD Queen”, should one of our many, many female posters win...
• I am the quizmaster, my word is final (However the other mods and Smods of BDD are more than welcome to come in and help out). Please don’t bitch and whine, I’m doing this voluntarily and if it becomes more hassle than it’s worth I won’t bother. If the questions are too easy, good for you, you should easily win. If the questions are too hard, then get studying.
• I cannot commit to posting questions at specific times I’m afraid. In this sense, it’s going to be a bit of pot luck as to whether or not you’re online when a new question is posted, but I wouldn’t stress about that, after all it’s only a bit of fun. Also this allows all users across different timezones a chance to win. You know I am on here almost 24/7 so don't think Australia's timezone will be advantaged, not that many of us kangaroo riders come in here.
• I am going to try to write the questions in such a way that it is difficult to answer them just by Googling keywords. This might be difficult, but I’m going to try.
• Please only attempt to answer each question once, do not post several random guesses, and please do not edit posts that contain answers as that throws the chronology out of whack.
Well, that’s the formalities out of the way...let’s commence.
