It's that special time of the year again when we start getting ready for the inevitable onslaught of Christmas...which is fine for people who don't hate rampant fakeness and commercialism so much, but for the rest of us...it's kind of annoying.

The Anti-Christmas League is the place for YOU if you hate Christmas. Maybe you're of a non-Christian religious background and feel kind of ill at being forced to celebrate a Christian holiday. Maybe you ARE a Christian and you're mad because it's more about Santa and presents than Jesus and love for your fellow man. Maybe you don't want to have to pretend to give a shit about your family when you're all more than happy to ignore each other for the rest of the year. Hell, maybe you just really REALLY hate Mariah Carey and her fucking inevitable Christmas albums. I really really hope nobody has an argument with that last one..

If you would like to help swell the ranks of this magnificent organisation, this is the place to write your rants! And while previous years have only met with limited success at getting a bunch of people together for drunken mischief as a protest to Christmas gatherings, I might even try and organise some kind of get-together.

fucking xmas...im not overlly enthralled bout it this yr...both my housemates are off to their families for xmas shit...me? i will probly go to a mates place but ive also got Jaylene here this xmas so i think we will just be getting drunk.

i was over christmas when i moved out of home i guess...i know it has a meaning behind it but do we really need to celebrate it every year? it seems to be something righ tnow that even though its in Dec people start advertising for it in June.

I kinda have to acknowledge christmas, well the 25 of Dec anyways because it's my girlfriends birthday.... but other than that I'm a huge non believer in the commercial side of it, the festivities and family gatherings are good fun though....

For chistmas this year I want to nail a hippy to a cross, eat a reindeer with a mutated nose, punch santa in his big ol' beer gut and make off with his list of 'naughty and nice girls'

my parents stopped doing that as soon as they had four kids... :/ xmas has always been a big let down for me...not present wise but more family wise. birthdays and xmas are two of the hardest days for me...along with fathers day and mothers day.

i ADORE christmas...

even though i dont celebrate the true religious meaning, it gives me a chance to take a day off from the grind, relax, eat, drink and be merry with the people i love the most (family and friends)... and to give a gift to those in appreciation for loving me (vice versa) throughout the year or those who simply need something moreso than us (we give gifts to needy families/children every year)... two years ago, we also fed the homeless on christmas day, which was amazing and felt great to celebrate and connect with a group of people that we otherwise wouldnt... christmas is what YOU make it... and to me, its one of the most magical days of the year...

Co President of the Anti Christmas League Signing in! =D Sir Raz will you actually be in Melbourne for christmas? If so, a reformation of the league would be a mightily fine pre-send off, send off. I will hazard a guess that a certain skanky hippy (going by the name of Magpi) will also be joining us for Anti-xmas Celebrations.

As a further incentive for the reformation of the league, I will provide 80 litres of raspberry jelly to further the day's festivities . I'm sure all worthy league members will be able to think of a fitting/ suitable/ entertaining uses ;)
 
This year it's my goal to smash any radio/stereo I hear playing christmas carols. I don't like hearing the same Britney Spears song for months on end and I sure as hell hate hearing the same christian/santa songs every year without choice.

This year I'm playing for keeps....

I'm about to fucking snap if I hear another mention of that shit-for-brains commerical spend-fest. Its so devoid of any cultural meaning beyond pure capitalism, its a goddamned travesty. Not only that but I fucking hate the christian moralist bullshit its associated with it. In short, I think I hate everything about christmas. Fucking load of bollocks.

Anti-capitalism? nah I like getting presents. Anti-christian? nah all the christians I've met are nice people. So why anti-christmas? well my birdthday is on boxing day, fucking great I'll eat these hundred or so sausages to myself cos everyone is too lazy to celebrate, so this year fuck off christmas...I forbid you to cast a shadow over my day!

At least I'm not working on Christmas Day this year. Christmas combines my three favourite things...eating alot, drinking alot and sleeping alot.

Screw family though.
