Remember these words: Addiction is perception.

That's it.

Really understand what that means and you will be rid away from any so called "addictions"

Addictions don't exist. They are only false creations in your mind.

Crack doesn't even exist anymore.. It never did exist. It is all what you imagined in your mind.. that is what created a so called "addiction".

This is the answer .

Physical addiction and dependance absofuckinglutly exist!

Psychological dependance is...well all your head ;)

Physical addiction is to a horse as psychological addiction is to bigfoot.

Unfortunately for most 'forgetting' crack is like forgetting sex, food or water. Crack is the same as any other white rock,in a sense is the same unimportant rock before you heard or crack, I understand what you're trying to say except this rock tells your brain it is vitally important for survival and quitting is in essence suicide.

Trying to think crack doesn't exist is like trying to think reality is undifferentiated...sure it may be but unless you're a zen master trying to see the world without duality your mind will be swept up in the 'game' in an attosecond.

Try the philosophy of Epicurus from whence we derive the word 'epicurean.'

Nothing IS enough for the man to whom enough is too little.

Where enough equals all the drugs you want...anyone who's been an addict has prob done prodigious amounts of drugs that still weren't 'enough.' So the seemingly contradictory answer is that when 'enough' doesn't satisfy nothing does

Spirit, is there any way to make my body stop aching, legs stop crawling, me being pissed and not wanting to get out of bed when I don't have opiates, please advise on how to convince the synapses in my brain to fire dopamine while were at it. I would like for you to get a few grams of smack, do it for two weeks straight and see if you can truthfully repost this. This is a terrible post.

Sorry, my appologies. I did not mention this was for psychological reasons only..

Physical addiction - tough it out.

Crime, this is all in your belief system, bro. I don't agree with one word of it because my own independent thought does not believe in what the world calls "addiction" .

Then stop following other philosophies and create your own limits. This is how I quit all of my drugs with success.

And by the way, for all of you trying to quit, one major thing which helped me was: "Not to listen to every thing people tell me. A lot of disinformation spreads and we aren't even aware of some of it.."

See, if we did not believe in reading what is on this board, I bet you 100 bucks that you're cravings and addictions will vanish. First off they never even exist. They words programmed into you to make you "think" you have one.. It's societies way of putting all the so called "addicts" in their own groups so they don't interfere with "normal" people.

I hope most of you know that the more you read this board the more you may be tempted to use drugs.. I have self limitations where I do not read everything said because I know some of the stuff is just plain "bad" for my mind..

Do the same and you'll be happier in my opinion.

Sure, it's not a bad thought at all, but please, stop talking about it like it's the one and only answer to the addiction problem. This ain't the Dr. Phil show...8)

If it did help you, congratulations, that's great. But don't act like the rest of us are some kind of dumbasses that just doesn't understand this amazing "fact" of yours..8(

I think that claims of hardcore withdrawal after only 2 weeks of heroin use really point towards the OP being right. You should feel small effects, but quitting a 2 week habit should be a walk in the park.

Look...I know that physical withdrawals do exist. I've experienced them. However, the OP is right in some ways. We make these withdrawals so much worse for ourselves because of how much we believe that they will happen. This is specially true of the mental addiction. We make ourselves obsess over it because thats what we think we should do.

addiction is very biological man. At least with opiates. You fix my opiate receptors and depression, and I will 'set my limits'

I'm comming off a month of having OC40's in bulk, and i got no more. YES addicition is real and it hurts like a motherfucker inside and out.

Sorry to break it to you but this constellation of 'behaviors' as I shall call them develops on it own and quite predictably given exposure to certain drugs (maybe you don't believe in those either?)

In fact while you're at why don't you go ahead and rewrite the neuroscience books for us. Because with your beliefs (positive thinking is one thing) there is a whole part of the brain that needs to be re-explained -- the medial forebrain bundle and it's projections to the frontal lobe that exist to drive, reward and goal-orient behavior that is essential for survival. This system uses dopamine as its tranducer of reward. Certain drugs hijack this transmitter. Addiction emerges.

Addiction is a word used to describe a pre-existing phenomenon. Addiction existed well before Marcus Aurelius (96-180AD) Addiction futhermore exists in animals that have no concept of addiction.

I will debate with you no more.

Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. Proverbs 26:4

to the op.

leave bl ignorant fucktard.

or grow up and become less naive then I won't tell you to leave bl and call you an ignorant fucktard

Am I going crazy or did you just take offense at yourself?
