I know exactly the kinda people and situation you're describing, Max. There's a lot of it about. If the bloke really is clearly the vulnerable type and they are known pisstakers then it's definitely not "grassing" it's doing the poor sod a favour. As you say, once pisstakers get a foot in the door they'll get him in all kindsa shit he doesn't need to be having to deal with. Housing Associations often have specialist staff to give extra assistance to vulnerable tenants but said tenants don't always ask for the help or realise it's there. Nowt wrong with a little intervention if it's obvious that arseholes are taking advantage. Is not grassing, is neighbourly.

I have seen similar things happen & it is quite distressing . It happened in a block i was living in once & by the time things had come to an end . The lad who had the tenancy wasn't even living at the place .
I saw the flat when the bayliffs came round & it was fukin disgusting made a Crack house look tidy . Sink off the wall food everywhere etc .

The lad should never have been in a flat on his own , just wasn't mentally capable .
This happens a lot more han folk might think & it is deplorable .
 
Fuck sake. I just discovered my car insurance expired a month ago! Never had any renewal notice from the insurance company (I'll name and shame - eCar) Went to phone them and noticed that they charge £1 per minute! Shower of fucks! Only way to contact them that doesn't cost money is "email" and it's not fucking email, it's a stupid web contact form that doesn't let you actually type anything, only lets you choose from drop-down boxes! I filled it in and now I've just had an automated email from them. They'll be in touch. :\

They've sent emails and letters for the last two renewals, so why have they just let my insurance expire this time? :X Same thing happened to my Dad too, not sure if it was the same company.
 
Am presuming they charge pisstake phone costs and lack any other easy form of (toll-free) communications cos you get cheaper insurance that way? All the same is a pisstake. Not like insurance companies are anything other than a licence to print money anyway :\

I assume so, but it's not any cheaper if you have to phone them because they never sent a renewal notice :\ or if I'd been stopped by police in the last month, then it would be just a trifle more expensive.

Un-be-fukkin-lee-va-bull(shit). Been getting so many of those automated PPI insurance claim/scam phone calls (half a dozen or so a day most days :\) that decided to start pressing '5' to speak to 'em yesterday. First attempt went well - spoke to a nice helpful Cockney lass who didn't try to push the matter: when I told her that I was neither eligible nor interested she simply apologised and told me that my number would be removed from their system. Great.

Second attempt was earlier and got sent through to another automated message telling me there was nobody available to speak and promptly hungup. Hmm. Irksome but not angering.

Third attempt just occurred. What a fukkin arse. Very friendly-sounding fella answered. I asked him why I was receiving so many of these calls. He gave me the spiel. I told him I'd never had any credit of any form in my life. He said that wasn't possible. I politely begged to differ. He was now rather exasperated...

Him: "So you're trying to tell me you've never had a loan, a mortgage or a credit card? None in the last ten years? Is that right?"
Me: "Yes that is correct."
Him: "Then how have you been living."
Me: "Within my means."
Him: "Oh fuck off."

Then promptly hung up on me.

Pure class some of these call centre monkeys :\

"All calls are recorded" - half-tempted to 1471 the cunts and insist they train the fukker to within an inch of his life :D

Parents pay for Private school Education . You mean Student loan for a degree i think .

If someone has parents that can send em to Private School 90% of the time they will be able to pay tuition fees as well . Just saying :)

My mate gives me (lighthearted) grief about being a "Leech to public money" lol. Coz I've been unemployed then ripping cash from my own, public sector, employee while doing absolutely nothing. Until I finally decided to quit so I let them fire me to get compensation payment ;)

"A blight on human society" is another one haha. Conversation/argument always end. With me remindig him that he's got belter of a chemistry degree but works as posty (nout wrong with a posty btw, I'd be quite happy with that job by the sounds of it if I wasn't carrying an extra few stone by maaaa beeeeelllay).The cunt works as posty because it was an easy job to get & he coasts through.

Still, he's one of the funniest, utter (but loveable) arseholes I've met :)

Yep. This annoys me. Don't get me wrong, I've spent over 10 years fucking about trying to avoid work as much as possible. Even when i've got into non workshy (ei totally fucking skint) mode then I'd take most things. I'm always made underqualified for anything decent, even though some of them from the job desrcription I know I could do easy & also correct the dumb-ass who wrote the nonsense advert.


This right geeky fucker sat next to me HSBC call centre. Probably fat Warcarft character. Got talking to him one day he was CHUFFED FUCK about his first class, A+ or whatever you call it & wanted to show off his shit (top notch "Rocket Engineering" - my mate does that, sounds hard a fuuuuuuk course).

Son anyway, fannybaws has rocked up with a fucking tinfoil space had on, got know what trackies etc, think it might have been kind of aluminum. Cunt thought he was absolute tits, looked like an absolite tits.

I would continue question him what his qualifications are etc to which he'd shoot off into full on job interview mode. I'd normally cut him off after about 2 sentences & just say "I've got a computer higher & I patched school when I was 16, then jacked it again (different course) - Yes I still earn more money than you, that must be a kick in the teeth, aye?
