No but I probably have travel sickness pills in my travel toiletry bag so I can try them if I do. It seems to be at it's worst when I'm using the computer, I don't know if there's a reason for that or not. If I'm out and about all day I don't even notice it.

Not that I notice right now though I'm sure when it first started happening I did notice a slight deterioration in it. The first time I can remember having any problems with them was about 6 years ago, when I'd go to clubs or gigs I'd come out deaf with a ringing in my ears that on one occasion lasted 3 days then the ringing at some point never went away and was there constantly (and still is). The vertigo symptoms came about 3 years ago but never lasted any longer than a couple of days....until now...3 months! :\
 
Ive got tinitus like a bastard. loud nights and working listening to steel banging around all day. doesnt stop me sleeping yet though, kinda phase it out
 
I phase mines out too most nights, it's always there but I barely notice it I'm so used to it. Annoying on those nights when it's all you can focus on though.

Good luck with the diaz BCF, it's nearly 3 months since I jumped off the last taper, I know what you mean about the endless hassle of supply. Do you think you can taper off the Oxy yourself, that would be the question of it were me, if you don't think you can then you're best seeking help now.

I've used Addaction before, on a referral from a counceller, they offer more than just drugs to taper with support and councelling, I've had a good experience with them.
 
Fucking pissed!!!

Well I'm feeling like a good whinge, so provide me your ears EADD =D

First of all I set off on a mushy hunt this morning. Spent a good 2 1/2 hours wandering round my usual field to find a grand total of 4. Well 3 1/2, one of the caps was half broken. So yeah that fucked up the trip me and the missus had planned for her birthday tomorrow :(

So this year I've done my first guerrilla grow of weed. It all looked set to give me a good years supply, plus a wee bit to sell on to mates. Not now, I figured I'd have a check up on my main plot. It looked the bees knees, you have to fight through a mile of tough bushes and brambles to get to it, but all 15 have been ripped out :!:(:! They were only 2 or so weeks off finishing as well, and some of the buds looked delicious. Ah well, I've still got 3 others on another plot, but I'll be lucky to get 4oz off those, and that's if they make it. They've really struggled, and still look a good while off yet :X Still, that's the perils of growing outdoors I guess, I'll just have to make sure next years plots are more secure.

Anyway finally I've got home, made myself a brew, and decided to have a quick dj, only to find the external hard drive I keep all my djing tunes is broke. Fuck knows whats up with it, but my pc just isn't recognising it. Any ideas folks?

So yeah, that's my wonderful Saturday folks! Hope you're all having a better day. I've got a party and mdma later to look forward to, I feel like necking a bomb now to cheer me up!!
 
Took the suspiciously-neatly-filled-out red card from Royal Mail that arrived (with no knock whatsoever) on Saturday to the delivery office. Only to find out that the '48 hours' specified waiting time actually meant 48 hours, as the person delivering it had taken it home with them and not turned up yet.

All well and dandy, but they're only open till 2pm, so effectively it's another day's wait.

The guy at the office looked at the initials and number of the postie who delivered it and tried to suppress a snigger. I've caught this same twat at it before.

That sounds far worse than my postal whinge. Hope you're addressing it somehow, either through official channels or outlandish threats of violence. Get 'em to pay up!

Another thing that should probably be in a 'minor complaint' thread rather than anywhere else, but it's been really getting to me how every music website / newspaper review of the latest Swans album is near-universally reverent and / or gushing, as if none of them want to be the first to have a bad word to say about it.

As a huge Swans fan (albeit one who has always been dubious about the 'revival') I can tell you that not only is it not a great Swans record, it's not even a great record. The first song sounds like a bad Roger Waters number and there are whole twenty-minute sections that go nowhere at all, despite what journos (who probably skipped the tracks in question) would have you believe.

The rest? A couple of decent songs that should've been on Angels Of Light Records, a couple more ruined by pointless pissing about.

Does this mean much to 99.9999999% of the planet? No. Does it mean much to me? Hell yes.

If someone asks me about this record in real life I'm going to stab them.

That's curious, I'd always assumed that Angels of Light was (yet) another Hawkwind offshoot, back to skool for me.

Not much I can do about persuading these pricks, unfortunately, as the person who holds the key is on holiday. I think I'm gonna have to phone my bank and cancel all outgoing direct debits for the next week, I'm deep over overdraft as it is :(

There may well have been a Hawkwind 'Angels Of Light' - I know there was a Psychic TV offshoot by the same name too. So maybe going back to skool isn't such a prirority.

Getting those direct debits cancelled, however, is. It won't be fun, but neither is breaching your overdraft limit. Best of luck!

The first and last I agree with totally.

As for the Bill Hicks quote, I'm of the same opinion in general, though I wouldn't really want to see Gira dead. That said, using the name 'Swans' on these records is on a par with selling butter IMO.

In fact, at least Lydon selling butter was deliberately crass. A guest vocal from Karen O is just lame.
 
Nearly a week on, and I'm still waiting for my (soon to be former, I think) speed supplier to get his act together.

I wouldn't mind so much if I hadn't been fobbed off with reassurances twice, to the point I'm left with two days to rescue the situation.

Friday night (which was supposed to be a Big Night Out the first in ages) may not happen at all because of this guy's incompetence, so if anybody cares to join me in shouting a big "FUCK YOU" to *******, then they're most welcome.

I wouldn't mind so much if I thought I'd actually been scammed, It's just frustrating.

Fuck you. Again.
