Same thing happened to me with a smoothie maker Mugz, found it in my mums cupboard and was about to rustle a refreshing drink up, milk ended up everywhere. :|
 
FUCKING ANGRY!!

First day back at work today after quite a few weeks off with depression, been really working hard getting on top of things lately and fighting to be allowd back as I need to carry on for the sake of my sanity and career.. got everything ready yesterday, clothes out, shoes by door, bag packed, made a packed lunch, even lined uo my makeup ffs, haha.. set alarm, double checked it, arranged lift.. the woke up just now! :!

Makes me look a) incompetent, b) unreliable or worst of all c) still ill and might be sent off again for a bit. I could cry :( but instead am going to dash in and try to work super hard this afternoon! Just waiting for toast btw not faffing on BL when I should e in work, haha...

Anyway. Fucking angry! :X

The problem these days isn't with the hitchikers it's with the drivers not wanting to pick people up because they've heard too many scare stories or watched films like Wolf Creek.

whoever told you that just did it to make you feel better - hitchhiking is as good a way as traveling for free with strangers as is being on a train or on a bus. You're probably less likely to get mugged actually.
 
That has to be unbelievably shitty and frustrating after going to all that effort.

What's done is done though, and I'm sure you'll make up for it this afternoon. Best of luck!
 
Thanks Sam. My colleagues are really lovely and won't be mad, but I let them down a lot when I was starting to become unwell (ie waking up unable to go in, having to go home early etc) and I really wanted to prove to them that I am better now and can do this job.

All I can do is the best I can - waiting for taxi now (takes a good hour and a half otherwise involving several buses) arfmed with cookies and apologies. Will offer to work late etc (they will say no but nice to offer I think...)

More frustrated than angry now. Gahhhhhhh....

Very sorry to hear that. I'm currently jobless for the very same fucking reason.

sorry to hear that effie, glad you're still going in. don't let it put a downer on going back, i know you were excited.

do you have someone who can call you early am tomorrow if you have another morning start? i still have to get my mum to call me if i'm up early, its the only way i can wake up!!
 
that sucks effie! hopefully they will be understanding :)

im angry that i made the stupid decision to buy at work and now it stinks lol, managed to cover it up slightly with a can of red bull, that stuff stinks out most things:P
 
Just had a call from the government/job center/ whatever wankers run the esa medicals. Demanded that I go for a medical next week, I am really ill with my anxiety at the minute and cant really leave the house never mind get on a packed bus.

Anyway she said I was lying and needed a letter from the gp to prove it. This is the last thing someone with stress and anxiety problems needs, gona end up in hospital again I can sense it.
 
That sucks Danny. Is there anything you can do - a doctor nearby that you can go to, to get the letter?

Effie: you know that you were doing your best to get into work. That's all you can do...don't feel bad about it, you're obviously trying hard, and I know a lot of us know how difficult it can be :)
 
Yeah mate, I managed to get in touch with my gp and he has faxed them to tell them the situation, they are going to arrange a home visit so its all good now i think :)

Why don't you just set an alarm on your phone that sounds the same as your ringtone??? Same thing then init?

Even better, if your phone has a headphone jack then plug it into a some speakers & a subwoofer. Ultimate wake up call. I did this a couple of times until I thought my flatmate was going to strangle me. A BEEPBEEPBEEEEEEEEPBEEPBEEP alarm blasting through loud speakers isn't exactly a fun thing to hear in the morning.

I've hitchhiked before, it was fine apart from the time the guy took me in the opposite direction to the wrong town about 4hrs away. I had no idea what direction I should have been going in so was none the wiser.
 
I was angry when I walked into the kitchen earlier and saw the bin overflowing :X I wrote an angry note saying that I AM NOT CHANGING THE BIN, that there are bin bags in the kitchen drawer and whoever made it overflow should change it themselves. I'm not putting my hand int a disgusting bin to try and get everything into the bin bag.

Flatmates are absolute fail sometimes.
