I take a hold of my fears
Brushing back all my tears
Caused by the lingering smoke, standing still as it clears
Our peers demand action
For their satisfaction
Hypocrites for inaction
They watch the main attraction
Us versus them, to the bitterest end
In the end I question who I’m out to defend
These hatemonging maggots
Macho cuz they hate "faggots"
And beat women and drink beer
Claiming they have no fear
As they maul a poor Negro for the color of his skin
Brutalizing him because his pigment’s a sin
And they batter the Muslim they catch
Soak him in gas as they light up a match
And burn him down for the sake of their pride
All because some ignorant "patriots" cried
A rally for action
For their satisfaction
They watch the main attraction
Now you see my reaction
These are the people I’ve sworn to protect?
Sometimes I wish that I had the choice to defect
These people are a disgrace
To our human race
Lacking any form of grace
They deserve to be erased
Hypocrites who need to pay for their crimes
And burn in hellfire until the end of all time
But I’m not their judge, their jury, or their ender
As bitter as I am, I swore to be their defender
When I raised my hand high on that fateful day
And swore and protect the American Way
Brushing back all my tears
Caused by the lingering smoke, standing still as it clears
