The "American" parts of BL

I'm not mad, I sense an easy target lol. I was laughing the entire time I wrote that. I hope he comes back with more ways the UK is so much shitter than America :D, this banter is fun.
 
yeah Europeans are so much more mature than Americans thats why all you use is the same three arguments

1. You're fat
2. Everyone hates you
3. We are better because we were around before you.

Maybe we use these arguments as they have a basis in reality and they seem to wind you lot up so much. 'Tis called stereotyping.

I never said America was better than UK or UK was "Shittier than America"

But what I will say is you are a classless, immature prick. I will say you are right on some parts, more so with the "irishman" or the ones who want to be.

But Notice I never said once america was better, because that's not my attitude. And tell me you don't think that your country is better than America? Do you? Of course you do hypocrite, I can tell it by the way you are talking...

You are taking all the extreme things in America and pointing them out, you have not once made any sense or any points to the average american (100% absolute truth) - the eiffel tower in vegas I hadn't even known about. No one knows about. Unless you live or visited vegas. And no one takes it as the real thing you.

Also man vs food doesn't show the Average american, he shows the extreme of an average american. Your ignorance proves through in these posts very much so because you have no idea what America is, or what it's people are like. You get this idea from social media and you hear about obesity and fat slobs but the thing is most american's are slightly overweight, and not quite as ignorant as you are making your self out to be right now.

None of the points you made were even slightly remotely true about the Average American. But what you did was now make me classify all UK residents as a bunch of arrogant, ignorant, wanna-be know it all's, who really know nothing at all...

If that's the reasons why the UK guys hate us american's yes. Because there is nothing factual said thus far why there should be hatred, when we think so well of our UK brethren. So yes when I hear some real reasons like "America drug us into the war" then yea I can understand why we are hated.

But so far seems like 100% of BL'ers in this thread from UK have had a lot of bad things to say about Americans, 80% of which isn't true. So yea, Majority of you guys are ignorant hypocrites who know nothing about REAL american life, nothing besides what you see in social media.
 
I haven't met many Americans but the few I have met have been very nice people. I've even thought about emigrating but it'd have to be in the lottery. I've actually considered the illegal route. How's that for ignorant?

You haven't been to the replica of the Eifel tower? My goodness, you haven't lived! No doubt you'll be looking at flights to Vegas as we speak. Just think of all the possibilities. You can eat a baguette made out of mass produced shit flour and preservatives for lunch. Then for dinner you can eat a deep pan greasy ass piece of shit pizza. Then for breakfast you can have over sized, ridiculously thick pancakes that the Dutch and French wouldn't even wipe their arse with, covered in icecream that is more growth hormone than it is milk. MMMMMMMMM. Now that's what I call good living. This is probably not what the average American gets to eat, just the lucky ones, and if you play your cards right that could be you! :D I really <3 the fact that your reply to the obesity issue in America was "we're not fat, we're just a bit fat".

I don't think it would be fair to say the UK is better than America, because it's simply not fair to put America side by side with a real country. It's like asking if a dog is a better cow than a cow? The two are incomparable. I believe that Man Vs Food is trying to show America in the best light possible, trying to give us a glimpse of the height of American culture. Of course I know that isn't what the average American eats for tea, that is just a starter. Am I right? Everything is all you can eat, and apparently all you can eat is A LOT. America, and Americans, are not fit to shine our shoes. The sooner you recognise us as your superiors the sooner you can begin to improve as a people. Just think of us as your parents, we are only trying to help :).

I realise there are other aspects to your culture that I might have overlooked; Like not giving a shit if your neighbour is dieing of cancer, hating homosexuals, making sure poor people can't be educated, and generally being as racist and supremacist as shit. But hey, you guys don't abuse alcohol. You just stick to your hardcore painkillers and adderal. Personally, I hate American's cus they're just so damn awesome and good at everything. There isn't anything they haven't beaten Europe at. Their food, their art, their general culture, their handle on the English language is just so amazing, and I am just like super pissed that I wasn't born there. I wish I could live in a world of giant everything, it would be like being a midget but not. And what's more awesome than being a midget? Obviously being an American, but I can't think of much else. Maybe an American midget? Holy fuck that would blow my mind with jelousy. I'd probably become a Hindu and kill myself in the hope I can come back as an American.

I have considered emigrating to South Africa so I can be as far away from Americans as possible.
 
I appreciate American slacker/stoner shows/films like Workaholics, early Kevin Smith movies + podcasts, Pineapple Express, Half baked, The Big Lebowski, Harold And Kumar Go To White Castle, Friday, Cheech & Chong's up in Smoke, etc. The UK hasn't really done anything like that since Spaced which was fucking epic, they should do more stuff like that again. Fuck this Skin bollocks. I guess the target audience for monged out silly humour isn't that big over here.

I think the worst part of America is your architecture. No, sticking some collumns on a normal building does not mean you are the modern equivalent of Rome. Culture has to have history behind it. Your pitiful replicas will never be a substitute for the real deal. You lack originality and thought, and you think that making things bigger or larger in quantity substitutes for quality. Just watch Man Vs Food and you'll see what I mean. You don't need 62 pounds of 15 different meats in one sandwich for it to taste good. Eating a large meal that a European wouldn't touch with a shitty stick does not make you a winner.

And what's with all these 4th or 5th generation people saying "i'm Irish" and pretending that drinking 5 pints somehow validates that? Or your plastic Italians who real Italians wouldn't even spit on?

The thing that provokes us to talk shit about America so bad is that you take yourselves so seriously and you genuinely believe you're number one for some reason. If you were really number one you wouldn't care in the slightest what us mere mortals think of you and your totally rad country, with it's overly complicated sports and beef burgers the size of your head. When you highlight the negatives of our country we find it funny, because it is funny. We know the problems exist, we are the problem in most cases. Yes our fair island is chav infested, yes we drink to excess, yes a lot of people in inner cities like to stab each other, and yes most of us have bad teeth. I don't get the comment about stealing other cultures and watering it down. What do you expect from a country full of immigrants? Sure there aren't as many first generation immigrants as before, but there are plenty of 2nd and 3rd generation immigrants that have only married people with the same background as them. Of course the culture will be watered down though since these people are now living in a different country, with different political, geographic, and demographic variables at play. If you walk down my block of about 24 houses, you will come across at least 7 different languages being spoken in these homes since I live in an area where a lot of people have migrated here in the last 50 years or less, but these people aren't going to fully act like they did in their mother country. Also some of them will marry someone whose family has been in American for many generations, so that will obviously effect what their children are brought up on.

The "stereotypical American" that a lot of you seem to be unable to get past, only makes up a very small percentage of the American population, and a lot of Americans will never come across a person that acts that way in their whole life. Basically they seem just as odd to most Americans as they do to all of you in the UK. Don't you guys have some kind of hillbillies in the countryside? Like the people you talk about shagging sheep? Well that's not the majority of your population, and not who you would want to represent the majority of youl. Well, the same thing applies here.
 
no lets be fair Tommy, there ARE a decent amount of Americans who fit the sterotype, theres just also a lot that dont as well

theres too many people to lump into a single group
