and about the morphine: it is not fantastical even when injected. a while a go i got my hands on a lot of morphine and i got to try it several times, just to see what it was all about (i'm not an opiophile really, was just messing around. i had tried opium tincture a bunch of times before and the high was amazing) and was left very disappointed. the pills lasted me a while, i tried several times to catch a buzz on them but always failed. eaten, snorted, over 100mg with no tolerance. nothing. they would leave me constipated as hell though, and my pupils were pinpoint.

then i tried injection. nice rush, lasting a few seconds, then nothing. i went up to 30mg IV with zero tolerance, and the rush was pretty solid but after twenty seconds i felt pretty much sober, nothing like the opium high... tried it several times and it was always the same - quick rush then nothing. though, of the several times i tried it, once, for some reason, i was bored and ate 90mg... caught a heavy nod for one hour or so. never was able to replicate that time, and eventually gave up (actually my stash was seized =D), go figure...

Sound like a pretty spot on description to me.
was very excited going into trying it an was very disappointed with the results.

Literally the chest tightness of the opiate rush rest is majorly lackin
 
Meh. Plenty of people feel intense euphoria from methadone. Plenty of people don't. Some even find it unpleasant, hell - some people find heroin unpleasant. Methadone is just considered less-euphoric than most opioids by consensus basically.
