Okay I'm not going to write a novel here, but I was perusing through some DC threads and was thinking about alcohol and wanted to see if anyone agrees with me about alcohol.
To me the issue with alcohol is other people. When I drink, I go slow and hydrate along the way. I drink 1 drink every 15 minutes or so at the beginning of my night then about 1 drink every hour or so until the night's over, all the while hydrating. This way I get the good physical sensations of alcohol -- giddiness (sp), warmth, slight loss of motor coordination, you get the picture -- while avoiding the bad ones. Now, a lot of people do what I do when they drink, but it seems more often than not when people get a couple drinks in their system, they go wild and start chugging the stuff. Then as we all know, they start puking, stumbling around, shouting, etc. And that level of intoxication is what bugs the hell out of me and kills my drunk. They just act so damn annoying. But, when I drink with a few people who don't overdo it, I always have a great time, sometimes even better than I'd have on opiates.
Just wondering if this is what ruins alcohol for some people (the people who drink v. the drug itself) like it does for me?
