The Agony of Ecstasy

e is bad for you - no argument there. however, i think this study is a bit misleading because:
*creates scenario in head*: the guy probably had many pills over a period of time, popping another one every time he started coming down. eventually, he didn't have enough serotonin left for the pills to have an effect but he kept munching anyway. so when he dies, of course he's only got 30-50% of whatever is normal. it's his serotonin levels a couple of weeks later (had he lived) that i would like to know about.
sorry to mrs stephens for the loss of your son & thank you for letting the rest of us learn from him.
ps. 1 death a month in toronto from e? crikey that's a lot.

to the crazy person, the normal one is insane

The way i see it, the more studies and research that can be done to investigate the effects of MDMA the better. The more we know about the damaging effects, the more we can control them ie pre-post loading.
An interesting quote however, "Things that go along with taking the drug, NOT the drug itself, causes the overdose. Dehydration seems to be the No. 1 complication, at least at rave clubs."
So for now, keep sipping that water!
