The 4 Stages of Being a Tool Fan

Lol at OP because there are so many people exactly like that. They certainly have the gift of being mysterious and giving off that aura

Personally I don't believe in any of that stuff Tool fans always go on about such as all that conspiracy stuff but the band is unbelievably talented and I always liked most of their material. Probably not a top 5 favorite but definitely a band that I'll listen to even as an old man.

Elite players live too, very very few bands are on their level playing live. Primus is the only band I know of that is better but that's all opinionated and shit

They're adding shows, its on the homepage of their site. Just thought I'd throw that out there. =D. So saying this, does anyone think they may be releasing the new album? Maybe just spring it on us?

Got a ticket for Jan. 22 in St. Louis!!! Tool and Primus I'm fuckin stoked!!!! Had to be on there when they went on sale, was trying to get two tickets, but impossible to get two together. Got one that wasnt that great of a seat, released it tried again and ended up with a pretty damn good one!!

I got the impression Maynard became very disillusioned with Tool over time.. You can notice the distinct difference between albums in personal growth, and it seemed to me that 10,000 days was nearing the apex of that personal journey. His side-projects like Puscifer almost seemed like a necessary sort of comic relief from the seriousness of Tool.

I haven't really kept up to date with what's going on though, last time I saw them was in 2010.

I'm in none of these stages because I didn't have the chance. I had already bought a ticket to one of their concerts a couple years back but ultimately couldn't go. Someday. :\
