Vital clarification: what exactly do you mean by "freebasing"?
The term is used incorrectly to refer to the act of vapourisation by some people, freebase is a reference to the chemical composition of a particular compound. Liberation from its complexed acid (thus freeing the base... geddit?) is how a freebase is acquired and carries a vastly different solubility profile as a result: freebase should not be IV'd unless you fancy using elephant syringes to sufficiently solve the target so that it doesn't immediately precipitate out of solution the second it hits the bloodstream and clog every system it reaches like an angry dickslap to the heart from the laws of chemistry.
If you simply mean vaping: yup, 3-FPM is of a composition highly conducive to efficient use by such a mechanism.
The melting point is low enough to provide almost instant phase transition when heat is applied. It should run cleanly: translucent trails to the point it can actually be difficult to even see where the puddle is!
DO NOT OVERHEAT IT. Seriously, not only are you destroying the drug before it even reaches your system, you are generating particularly toxic products: even Hydrofluoric Acid and gaseous Fluoride are possible if you go way beyond the boiling point, before that the morpholine ring is lysed to release assorted Nitrogenous vapours: NH3, NO radicals, NO2, NO3, HNO3 et cetera.
IV use is something I really do not advise - aside from being innately caustic to the point it makes even Meth look like hand lotion, the high is enjoyable but not remarkable at low-moderate (IME: 30-75mg) doses but becomes a beast to be reckoned with after a certain point (no, I shan't even begin trying to assign a value to that for endless different reasons). The insane redose compulsion, do not think for a second it is exaggerated here, severe vasoconstrictive properties, relatively severe tremor, inability to focus the visual field, and unavoidable corrosion do not make for a great combination with massive euphoria during the rush but a peak duration so minute it threatens to invert space-time.
Easily the most destructive thing I've ever shot. Thrombophlebitis is something I never experienced until I threw 3-FPM into the spiky arena.
