Why is it strange?

There probably is a risk to Biden, but they were kept a reasonably distance from each other and trump probably wasn't contagious yet. So the risk probably isn't especially high.
 
But biden is smart and doesn't hold dangerous rallies thinking he is invincible and the vaccine is coming out tomorrow. Even the last trials were hurting people. Trump is done.
 
So apparently if a presidential candidate dies before the election, there are some fairly straightforward rules. If the candidate dies before taking office but after being elected, it a little tougher because this takes away the right for people to vote for a given candidate.

I just don’t see Pence winning. I think he’d be nominated as a replacement, but I think even Biden has more charisma and most people don’t want a majorly religious person running the country.
 
He will survive it. Luckily he gets tested daily and has access to the best care in the world. They caught it right away. He is older, though. We will see. He flies around in that airplane daily which is like a covid container. Only a matter of time.

Trump got Covid, maybe he'll be in quarantine for a bit and I'll get a break from his grating vocalizations. Well, I'm sure he'll be tweeting, but at least I won't have to hear it as much.
