Seems like there were US casualties as a result from Iran's strike against the base but they didn't want to admit them publicly.

I get there are time when certain things temporarily can't be admitted publicly but when talking to a reporter about the subject

Reporter: "so are you saying you don't think potential traumatic brain injuries are considered very serious"
Trump: "no I don't consider them to be very serious"

Nothing can justify that: I guess trump could use the it was a grammar error excuse. Like how he did with Helsinki on the world stage when he lied and said putin didn't do nothing with our election even though he was previously briefed that putin fucking with oour election did happen.

This might be difficult to believe because we were lied to by most of the media for years but there is in fact zero evidence that Putin or the Russian government interfered with the election. All they could ever prove was that some RUSSIANS paid for some Facebook advertising which spread anti-Hillary and also anti-Trump material.

Perhaps Trump suffers from same, and therefore doesn't see any loss of functionality?

Maybe Trump doesn’t consider the brain to be that important 😆

Right along my line of thinking.

Instinct = indulging every whim without thinking about the full picture. Yeah I think we need more world leaders like that... 8)

I know that you're in an antibonding state w.r.t. reality, but just to clarify: there is extensive evidence and consensus among the US intelligence community that Russian state actors hacked the DNC and released internal emails with the intention of influencing the 2016 election to benefit Donald Trump.

"The Internet Research Agency, based in Saint Petersburg and described as a troll farm, created thousands of social media accounts that purported to be Americans supporting radical political groups, and planned or promoted events in support of Trump and against Clinton; they reached millions of social media users between 2013 and 2017. Fabricated articles and disinformation were spread from Russian government-controlled media, and promoted on social media. Additionally, computer hackers affiliated with the Russian military intelligence service (GRU) infiltrated information systems of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), and Clinton campaign officials, notably chairman John Podesta, and publicly released stolen files and emails through DCLeaks, Guccifer 2.0 and WikiLeaks during the election campaign. Finally, several individuals connected to Russia contacted various Trump campaign associates, offering business opportunities to the Trump Organization and damaging information on Clinton. Russian government officials have denied involvement in any of the hacks or leaks."

Of course this is pretty much par for the course w.r.t. Trump supporters and facts

Facts? So what evidence? There was never any evidence proving that "Russians" hacked the DNC. The DNC refused to turn their servers over to the FBI. This was the equivalent of someone burgling your house and then you refusing to let in the police to investigate. Instead they hired a private IT firm called Crowdstrike to analyze the servers and write a report. That report was released and after it was repeated that "all 17 intelligence agencies" agree with the report, that was later changed to 3 agencies and then to a select few people at a few agencies. The CIA said that they were "highly confident" that the Crowdstrike report was correct while the NSA had "moderate confidence" in the report. So nobody official ever assessed the evidence. So you are in fact spreading lies and unresearched propaganda when you claim these things. And this happened years ago so no excuses for sticking to this narrative.

The whole Russians interfering in the election was overall an excuse to explain why they lost because the loss was so embarrassing and unexpected. Hillary was quoted saying that they'd all hang from nooses if Trump wins. Not sure why. But yeah about the DNC/Wikileaks scandal, some forensic computer scientist analyzed the files and found that the rate of transfer was too quick for it to have been a hack or any outside host it was over LAN which means most likely USB which means most likely an internal leak. Seth Rich worked in IT for the DNC and was a Bernie Sanders supporter who was pissed off at the DNC for their corrupt fuckery. He most likely stole and leaked the files to WIkileaks. Around that time a later-leaked email was sent by John Podesta saying that they needed to make an example of someone. Seth Rich was then murdered in a robbery where nothing was stolen from him. One of the most glaring parts of this story is the (non) reaction of the DNC towards the murder of Rich. He was most likely murdered for leaking the DNC's emails to Wikileaks and there's more evidence there than the Russians hacked the DNC story.

Also if Russians wanted to hurt Hillary then they could've just released the CLASSIFIED and SPECIAL ACCESS PROGRAM INTELLIGENCE that they no doubt hacked from her unsecured bathroom server where she illegally stored these sensitive documents. Releasing what they took there would have been much more damaging to her campaign than just the DNC stuff. Also John Podesta's emails were accessed through a basic phishing scam that could've been carried out by a highschooler.

BTW back on topic:

Any Trump haters gonna give credit for this?

the campaign promise was "...I will build a great great wall on our southern border and I’ll have Mexico pay for that wall."

in january 2020, the u.s. customs and border protection reported that $11B has been identified for the wall (that's ~$20M per mile) paid for by u.s. taxpayers.

that trump's wall is a 'great great' wall is a matter of opinion but please let us know when mexico puts a check in the mail so we can mark this promise 'kept'?

I'm using sarcasm today with most of my Trump posts, as I'm on the 'wtf is he thinking/doing' train as of late (see pardons and such). I'm not saying he's met his promise, I'm saying he's doing 'something' so he can have a leg to stand on come campaign time. That leg may be made of wood and full of termites, but it's enough for a guy like him to show progress in the face of such defiance from Dems. Again, not a promise kept, in my book, but something to point to this campaign season.

his supporters won't give a shit if he breaks campaign promises anyway so it's moot :)

it'll be somebody else's fault - the media, obama, never-trumpers, whatever - in each case...

He's already got their votes. One of my questions these days, to go along with 'wtf?' is what is his bigger plan (assuming he has one)? Many hispanic citizens support the wall and tougher immigration, most immigrants do. Presumably because they earned their citizenship and want others to do the same, I guess. But is the wall a push to get more of 'those votes'? It's a small portion of the population, so is it worth the effort? Who else is he trying to gain with some of these moves? Or is it just defensive so the Dem candidate can't point to him as lying about his wall and him standing there without a response? I don't see him doing things out of defense, it's usually offensive (pun intended).

Likewise, the pardons and prison commutations....to what gain? At face value, it doesn't appear to benefit him, and raises more questions of rich-boy-cronyism. What's the play? Only thing I've seen anyone circulate so far is, this may be a play for black votes:

After he was released, the former governor said he learned how unfair the criminal justice system can be during his time in prison, especially for people of color. He also said he was drawn closer to God. “There is divine intervention in all of this," he told reporters. "I'm going to fight against the corrupt criminal justice system that all too often persecutes and prosecutes people who did nothing wrong, who over-sentences people, show no mercy, and who are in positions who have no accountability," Blagojevich said.

Related, from CBS Chicago:

Back in June 2019, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and his son, former Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr., urged Trump to pardon Blagojevich for his corruption crimes, calling the former governor’s 14-year prison sentence “unfair and unnecessary.” They say he was a governor who “cared for the people.”

^ it can't be a defensive move because, until we get a check for ~$11 billion from mexico, there's no defense.

you're assuming he has some kind of strategy or plan. that's cute :)

Gotta keep those campaign promises, one way or another, if you want re-election

I thought the spikes were supposed to be on top so people would impale them selves when trying to hop it, also he said it'd be concrete, and where's the mote with alligators and snakes.

re: Blago, I think Trump just respects the hustle lol

^ blagojevich was convicted of extortion to do with state funds being directed towards a children's hospital and race track.

trump used funds - in part raised in the name of military veterans - from his charitable foundation (a "shocking pattern of illegality") to, among other things, pay for his campaign, pay business debts and buy a portrait of himself.

they're peas in a pod. he's corrupt and, with these pardons, he's normalizing white-collar crime.

in a speech to supporters in virginia beach in january 2016 trump claimed "i am the law and order candidate".

he's a sick joke at this point.
