come on, jess. trump knows who
his people are - and quite a number of them are extremist scumfucks (neo nazis, white supremacists and various other hate groups)
he's never made a vaguely convincing attempt at distancing himself from hate, because it's pretty clear what he is.
he's a fascist.
this sort of thing is typically what happens when someone like him uses as much violent and racist (not to mention misogynistic) bullshit to distract attention from him pillaging the united states government to line his pockets, employ his criminal family and whatever other dubious crap he's up to - i think he sees himself as a strongman, and by sewing seeds of division, he's enlisted the help of these various
emboldened race-hate terrorist and streetfighter groups to fight his "white power" battle on the streets.
modern day blackshirts, essentially.
real classy guy.
note trump's affiliations with the so-called alt-right. then consider the "alt-right's" embrace of neo-nazi ideology.
with a quick search i came across a lot of articles about this, but
this snopes one has a pretty decent breakdown of the whole thing, for whatever that's worth.
and they're not calling it one way or another.
i don't know about you, but i don't see anything cryptic or dubious about trump's links to racist extremists. david duke, charlottesville and all the hateful bile he's spewed into global political discourse.
as stated in the article, it might be some
super edgelord trolling exercise - but even if that's the case, it's in pretty poor taste. especially considering the amount of murders attributed in the last year to various right wing, trump supporting hate groups.
the trumpists love this hate and division. thrive off it. it's so irresponsible, and it's tearing the country apart.
to use a bad analogy - where there's smoke, sometimes there is a burning cross (or tiki torch).
edit - oh, and let's not forget about
the neo-nazi on the republican ticket in illinois.
