as of now the only for the chargers to make the playoffs is to win the division....the division has alot of really important games...we play KC and oakland. i think the division will come down to week 17 ....

just be glad your division isn’t the nfc south.

cris collinsworth: "only 2/10 of matt ryan's ints this year were his fault. the other 8 something bizarre happened."

I think that guy was on drugs or something last night. He was acting weird the entire time.

I'm going to be fucking sick. Clinch the division but lose our qb for the year. Has to be the most Philly thing of all time. Get well soon Carson! We get revenge next year

Yeah, eagles got

@nyg
oak at home
dal at home

and from what I read initial signs suggest his acl isn’t torn which means he could return. Won’t know for sure until sometime Monday.

Fuck the Browns...

Kizer throwing that int in OT was the difference between Carolina playing Brett Hundley and Carolina playing Aaron Rodgers.

6-6 they have no shot of making the playoffs in the NFC.
7-6, with Rodgers, they definitely have a chance if they win out.

Hope his shoulder can handle getting sacked by 6’7 295lb Julius Peppers. Just saying.

Yeah we locked up the NFC East yesterday. His injury makes getting a first round bye all the more important in case he can come back. We still have a solid chance to win out since Dallas is the only team left who currently has something to play for

I scanned through hours of footage from various shows today. Minimal to zero mention of the Panthers win over the Vikings in every single instance. Mostly just a replay of Cams Superman run stuck in the middle of other top plays from around the league. Pretty incredible.

I’m being 100% honest here. I literally can’t find a major sports “authority” anywhere giving them significant credit...much less acclaim.. for beating the team they themselves are still today calling the team to beat in the NFC. It objectively makes no sense.

And anyone who watched the entire thing knows that, despite the fact that it was tied late, Carolina pretty much controlled that game from start to finish. It’s not like they just got lucky. There were aggressive plays called and the vast majority of them were executed cleanly. And even though Olsen played, he was never even targeted. Maybe once. His foot was still bothering him the entire time.

I could go on, but I won’t.

i did an unscientific search for "nfl week 14 highlights" (or maybe "nfl week 14 round up" - i can't recall exactly) and found these links with ease:

Here’s What We Learned in N.F.L. Week 14
People should not forget about the Panthers. Carolina is rarely mentioned in the same breath as the N.F.C.’s elite teams — Philadelphia, Minnesota, the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans — but the Panthers ran right at the Vikings’ elite defense and produced 216 rushing yards, with Jonathan Stewart scoring three times. The victory gave the Panthers the same record as the Saints (New Orleans still leads the N.F.C. South via a tiebreaker) and added some intrigue to the final weeks of the season in that competitive division.

Cam Newton, Panthers make a statement with win over Vikings
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Carolina Panthers were in jeopardy of blowing a big lead and a big opportunity on Sunday when Cam Newton pulled the ball from the gut of his running back with just over two minutes remaining.

Suddenly, the quarterback who seemingly gave the game away on the previous series with an interception off the hands of Christian McCaffrey was running alone in the open field.

Newton didn’t score, but his 62-yard run set up Jonathan Stewart's third touchdown and gave the Panthers a 31-24 victory against a Minnesota Vikings team that had won eight straight games.

It was a statement victory for a team desperately looking to make a statement and establish itself as a contender for the NFC championship.

Panthers show a little bit of everything in big win against Vikings
The Carolina Panthers came into Sunday’s game against the 10-2 Vikings hoping to keep pace with the Saints in the NFC South, and that’s what they did with their 31-24 win.

The Vikings came into the game after having shut down the Falcons the week before on the road, riding an eight-game winning streak. The Panthers knew they had a tough test coming into the game, and they were able to make the proper adjustments to come out with a win.

It wasn’t just a matter of the Panthers being the better team on Sunday. They tried new things and proved they’re a team to be reckoned with as the regular season’s conclusion nears.

all pretty complimentary and i think most people would describe espn as a sports authority?
