the 2013-2014 nfl playoff prediction thread v. anybody but the chargers

^ care to expand on that?

alasdair

certainly

49ers run the ball well, packers have shit run defense

packers run the ball well, but 49ers have elite run defense

passing will be hard, the 49ers can win without passing, packers cant

Clay Matthews is out

The packers can win, but if they do its going to be on the back of Aaron Rodgers passing the ball in sub 0 temps.

@ Alasdairm- I believe that SF has a more physical receiving corps, an overall better group of rb's, a better defensive prescence and a physically superior QB that can't run the football with more confidence in situations where the ball/weather conditions make it much more difficult to throw the football downfield.

If the game where to be played at normal temperatures it would be a much different story.

with temps getting up around thirty tomorrow.. highest we have seen in weeks.. but then dropping dropping dropping through sunday for a high of eleven below on monday and the governed of Wisconsin thinking he is just going to cancel school for the whole state on monday (this has never happened ever) i think we are likely going to see a real cold game..

and i think San Fran going to be really surprised at the team thats coming out to play them this time.. when everybody got hurt we found a few receiving gems to add to our stash.. but I think this one may be being played in weather so atrocious that it might come down to who can run the ball on frozen ground. Old school shit. at least we sold out the remaining seats so I get to watch it in front of a nice fire. Packers are going to wreck them.. Paybacks a bitch especially at that temperature.

I'm really looking forward to all the games this weekend.=D

'Dubbed by the sports media as "The Ice Bowl", the game-time temperature at Lambeau Field was about −15 °F (−26 °C), with an average wind chill around −48 °F (−44 °C);"

Texans all the way!

lol why would the 49ers play better in the cold?

the packers practice in the cold and play in the cold all the time and fucking live in the cold.

make sense

Packers style of football isnt conducive to playing in sub zero temperatures where the ball shrinks and is nearly impossible to be thrown. The Packers don't have a good defensive or special teams unit..
SF is a good team in all phases of the game, and Gore is a beast.

But if all sanfran can do is run the ball our poor defense will be more than enough as its designed to stop the run.. not saying your wrong entheo cause your not.. pluss since we were pretty much beaten buy one guy way back when i fairly confident we are going to do just fine.

Yep if this offense starts pumping at the run and the pass like i think it going to with the return of cobb to jones, jordy nelson, and boykin.. and Quarless is not a slouch. Some how im not worried. we shut down san frans running game in the begining of the year.. and if it wasn't for crab and kaep playing out of their minds we would have won.. I really think the outcomes going to be real different on sunday. I will take a avatar bet with you care?

I hope the fans stay warm at lmbeau. That shit is not ok, I would freeze to death.

This isn't boxing, no one on an NFL roster has a guaranteed contract and wouldn't throw a game unless their respective teams paid out enough to ensure a players financial stability for the rest of their lives. That guy is just salty.
