the 2013-2014 nfl playoff prediction thread v. anybody but the chargers

In response to uberfan ali's BS, I present the passing D ranks of the teams his mighty hero Tom Brady faced in his former record setting year of 2007.

Two of the worst defenses Brady faced were in his own division! That is 4 games he got to paste the same poor defenses and pad his stats. To claim Brady could do better this year with Manning's schedule is just plain bluster.

Yes, NE held Manning under 200 yds because their defense gave up over 200 yards rushing. Duh, why pass when they cant stop the run? lol @ "held him to 150 yards"

In week 15 of 2007, that stingy Miami D made Tomboy throw 2 INTs and held him to just 215 yards passing.

Denver might not have the best defense, but holy shit the one thing I remember from that AFCG was Terrance Knighton's spectacular sack on Tom Brady on 4th down (he was in that NE backfield all night)

this guy is a BEAST, and much props should be given for Denver DC Jack Del Rio to bring him into the program. hell, I've always been a Jack Del Rio fan...

is it safe to finally call Tom Brady a big-game loser, yet?

it's not bluster. it's an opinion. one with which you disagree. we get it. but then, why anybody would listen to you, let alone believe a word you say, as you've proven yourself to be a liar? your guess is as good as mine...

the fact is that we can't know how anybody else would have done against the broncos schedule this year. it's also a matter of fact that, by the numbers and to any reasonable observer, peyton manning had a career season against a pretty soft defensive schedule.

it strikes me that if mike and axl pick the same team, mike can't lose...

This is more an example of opinion, butthurt opinion at that.

Right, because comparing the defensive passing stats of teams played in their career years gives no indication whatsoever of how Manning or Brady performed. By the numbers, they both had career years against soft defenses but it as actually all hindsight because how does one know in week 1 that they have a "soft D schedule?" They dont, that is just for us armchair analyzers to sit here and pontificate about numbers that get fleshed out over a course of 4 months of games.

When I have a moment, I am going to look up Brees' stats v passing D in his big year a couple of years ago for more information as well.

The most interesting caveat is Manning did this 2 years removed, late in his career, from major surgery and having to sit out a year and getting released from the Colts.
 
lol the way the pats played that game, SD would of beat them. if they had gronk it would be a different story. but you cant use injuries as a excuse. can you?
 
^ apparently they filmed the Steelers the most, and filmed us prior to two AFC Champ. games

yeah so since if i would have picked Seattle and you and axl would have picked Denver then I would have gained one and you would have lost one so we would have tied for the win right.. and axl would have lost one so he would have been out.. but its a mute point now since ALAS had to make a way for you to loose. Oh well nice picks.. pretty impressive.. going to hurt when axl takes it though.
 
Anybody doing anything cool for the Super Bowl? My girl wants to hop on the subway uptown to check out Times Sqaure with all the craziness going down but I told her it was going to be insane and she's gonna be pissed off within 15 minutes from all the people. hah.
