the 2010 NBA playoffs!

yeah, people don't expect the number one seeds and the next hottest team (the Mavs) to lose in the first round, but it happens. there are serious players in Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant and the Spurs are usually a well oiled machine (albeit old) during the playoffs

it happens and I can't complain as an NBA fan because it makes it that much more interesting to me

I kinda expect the spurs to win the mavs series, but I never thought utah would handle denver like they have been. its going to be reallllyyy interesting to see how denver handles game 4.

the Charlotte Bobcats are bringing it against the Orlando Magic. it's actually great to see a change of pace from the last couple of years because it is differing from the first round blow-outs.

Dwight Howard got in quick foul trouble, so I could see the Bobcats creeping up on them. the key to making Orlando lose is getting Dwight in foul trouble, obviously. and hope that they don't have a phenomenal game shooting as per usual

how about Durantula? I've been working all day at the festival so I couldn't sit down and give it a good proper American watch, but it must be exciting for OKC fans to be able to say that their first two home playoff games were victories.

and I'm not going to be able to watch the Cavs - Bulls game because I will be on the road :(

I'm a Suns fan through and through, last night's game devastated me with the terrible officiating. Really feel like we can do some damage when everyone's healthy. I'm hoping we can get Robin Lopez back after the first round.

you want to talk about terrible officiating, look no further than the last lakers thunder game. thunder had T W E N T Y more free throw attempts than the lakers

Yeah absolutely, and I HATE the Lakers. It's becoming more apparent to me that of all the big Professional sports (NBA, MLB, NFL) the NBA is the most illegitimate...it seems like they push these series to 7 games, by any means necessary. I mean, yeah, maybe it's just the players losing their focus, but I don't know. It sucks too because I love the Suns, love going to games, watch them as much as I can (which is hard now that I have moved to Italy) but that is always in the back of my mind, and it makes following a lot harder and less fun.

NBA refs are a joke, and mostly in playoff games. you can have terrible officiating, but they never stick to their guns. either let them play or call a draconian game - it is not beneficial for the flow of the game to flip-flop on either, especially when the zebras pride themselves on "letting the players play in the playoffs"

anyone need a broom? b/c orlando just got done with sweeping!

(i know, my smack talk sucks. i make myself giggle insanely whenever i tell the ref to check their phone for some missed calls.)

a-fucking-greed. pick a style of refing a stick with it. preferbly the "let em play" mentality. I think anytime a team has 48 points off of free throws its degrading to the game, the series, and basketball in general

anyways congrats to orlando, they look strong right now. nelson is tearing it up hardcore, and howard is clogging up the lane worse than ever before. I dunno about you guys but I think theyve got more than a hell of a shot at taking cavs down. cavs vs magic is pretty much unaviodable and the magic look better as of now

what do yall think

Mavs goin down tonight?

i hope not, but i sure as shit wouldnt bet againsrt it

I would like to think the mavs were good enough to at least go down in 6 games since many were claiming there would be a cavs mavs finals(LMAO). although the mavs have a history of choking so tonight could be their last

as much as I like the Mavs, one can always count on them to botch the playoffs.

the Magic looks insanely good. on the sweep - act like ya done it before, poopie ;) oh wait, Orlando has never swept a team in the playoffs.

O-town could most defintely take out the Cavs, they are a scary team if they can drain the threes. however, I have noticed LBJ is acting more cocky but at the same time taking the game even moreso in the palm of his hands. I have watched him ever since high school and I have never seen him develop this "killer instinct" a la Kobe and MJ yet. he always did score mad points in the 4th quarter, but now he has developed some swag.

I can't wait to see this swag in a couple hours!!

lakers making a statement game right now. firing on all cylinders. mavs make a statement game but im expecting them to go down in the series. who cant wait to see the cavs celtics series. I think people are underestimating the celts. lets not forget this team won a ring only 2 years ago, yes their old and yes the cavs will probably win but dont be suprised if it goes to 7 games especially with lebrons recent "arm" issues, although I got to admit i think the arm thing is an excuse brons using to cover up that cocky move to shoot a freethrow left handed late in the game

Coaching matters.

Experience matters.

Killer instinct matters.

Having won it before matters.

Anyone who can't see why the Lakers SHOULD be the favorites to win it all are deluding themselves.

Being a Suns fan, I actually hope the Spurs take the series against the Mavs. In seasons past, I wouldn't want to face them, but this year I do feel like we have the edge, and with home court advantage, I'm not as worried about playing them as I am Dallas. I do however hope their series goes 7 games, so they can face us on a single days rest...that would be ideal!

Cavs took care of business tonight, good game for us.

Living in Phx I am looking forward to Suns/ Spurs
