who participates in fantasy football?

my friends and i played last year but we were all pretty new to it and the draft process pretty much went over our heads. this year, however, we had a live draft and, at the risk of sounding like a total geek, it was really fun and pretty exciting.

here's my team. what do you think:

qb: drew brees
wr: desean jackson
wr: hines ward
wr: santana moss
wr: mike williams (tb)
rb: steven jackson
rb: ryan grant
te: jermichael finlay
w/r: darren mcfadden
k: nate kaeding
def: san fancisco
d: bernard pollard
d: leodis mckelvin

bench:
wr: derrick mason
wr: mike williams (sea)
wr: roy williams
rb: clinton portis
qb: donovan mcnabb
def: san diego
d: nnamdi asomugha

thoughts? advice? criticism?

Nice team. You guys start a lot more positions than we do. I'd have to think about what kind of strategy that type of setup would require.

I'm pretty excited about my draft this year. I think I made out pretty well for a 12-team league:

QB: Tony Romo
RB: Frank Gore
RB: LeSean McCoy
WR: Reggie Wayne
WR: Marques Colston
TE: Tony Gonzolaz
K: Ryan Longwell(Min)
D/ST: Eagles
Coach: Saints

BENCH:

QB: Matt Ryan
WR: Mike Sims-Walker
WR: Devin Aromashodu
WR: Bernard Berrian
WR: Nate Washington
RB: Fred Jackson
Coach: Saints

Wow man. With that many spots you got a pretty diesel team. I might consider starting D Mason. I know they are playing the jets but, they do have A Boldin this year too and he may draw Reevis. Its definitely a gamble though and I don't blame ya for benching him. I have Boldin in a league and I may just take a chance in my RB/WR slot. Maybe Mason in place of Ward or Williams but, obviously start Santana Moss.

^ thanks. the decision i am struggling with right now is whether to start mason or williams (tb)...

Coach: Saints
...
BENCH:

Coach: Saints
what does it mean to have a coach in your line-up? how does a coach score points?

also, your coach is starting and on the bench? confused...

I just realized the Ravens have TJ Whosyomama too. Not earth shattering by any means but, certainly complicates the situation even more. I've decided to play it safe against the Jets and play Donald Driver over Boldin. It is a tough choice for sure because on of Baltimore's WRs has to get something.

The Coach gets you points if their team wins that week. The more they win by the more points you get. Listed them twice was a typo.

I was in the same spot with both my fantasy teams. for the bluelight league I just needed like 10 points to put it nearly out of reach so I benched Bouldin for Dez Bryant. I didnt have another wide reciever in my other league so I had to start him which makes me nervous everything I have read makes me believe he will be a non factor.

Michael Turner. I'm thinking you're done dude. I got his lame ass on two teams and he's just not giving me a warm fuzzy feeling. Gentlemen, what say you? He may still have some trade value.
