Ok, hello. Just in case you're interested in my background Chem experience, I'm a first-year undergrad, but I've been a 'chemist' for 5 years now. Here's my story:
Trying to quit smoking (cigarettes), I began using transdermal Nicoderm CQ patches that delivered 21mg/day equally (supposedly) over the course of 24 hours. I was thinking that this method could be excellent for pushing THC into the blood stream as well. I'm currently doing some intensive research on this idea, and I was hoping some you experts out there had a comment or idea for me. This system, although it could also be used for recreational purposes, would serve mainly to stimulate the appetites of cancer/AIDS patients who at the moment must smoke dope. I feel that this system could revolutionize medical marijuana usage, as a time-released version could hardly be used recreationally.
That's my idea. Just wanted to get some feedback from people (feel free to email me privately if you don't want to post). I also needed some witnesses, so I'm using you to some degree if you're reading this (sorry!). If you're interested in my current process, let me know.
On my way to (High) Times Man of the Year...

People (in general) do not seem to like Marinol, but instead many patients say that smoking helps the most. If anything, there needs to be a way of administration that is more short acting than Marinol, instead of a transdermal patch which would last even longer. I think a patch would defeat the purpose, but thats just my opinion. THC is not a true anti-emetic. It is a drug with anti-emetic properties.
