do you need thc to activate any potential benefits of CBD ? could someone give me good info on this or know a study on this

No, thc isn't needed to get any of the potential benefits of cbd. It can actually cancel some of them in certain cases. e.g. Thc can worsen the anxiety that one would use cbd to get rid of.
