Thatcher's dead

Presumably Prime Minsters don't often get state funerals cos - broadly speaking - half the country tends to despise them. Churchill only got one cos of the war. Thatcher is probably the most hated PM in recent history (even more than Blair and that's saying something 8o) so definitely not state funeral material. That and she fucked the country. She'd've been better off being prosecuted for treason and left to rot than made a Baroness and given a state funeral.

I can't actually see a measure of anything that shows me up to have 'fucked up the country'. Median and mean wage UP. GDP UP. Life expectancy UP.

You can see measures that show country fucking just as well as the rest of us can. Turning a blind eye may be second nature to politicians but it doesn't actually count as not seeing. It's just wilful ignorance and lack of giving a shit.

I think it was a bit unprofessional of Osbourne to take acid at my funeral:

He does at least look to be displaying honest emotion. Fuck knows what those two at the front are doing. It's definitely not smiling. Is really rather creepy. Is a rare occasion when George Osbourse has the least punchable face in a photograph. Maybe his heroes should die more often. He almost looks human.

You don't even work. Do tell how you are paying for anything, let alone the 16p for this event? The majority of enraged tax payers in this thread seem to be unemployed.
lulz ... you fail at speculation.

I work (and really fucking hard too!). I get paid to care for people, something you were also paid to do, but did little of ... probably because of that barbed wire snatch of yours ;) (did you grow one after burying MSB? ;p) ... and I actually save the NHS a fuckton in costs every year because I get paid much less than if the NHS paid someone else to do the same job.

Also, some info pertinent to what you were insinuating: I actually am entitled to make claims for various benefits attached to being a care worker, however I am not currently doing so because of the Tory govnt's fucked up claiming system, which is often way too distressing to get involved with. I'd rather save my sanity so I can keep being kick-ass at the job I'm doing rather than re-involve myself with this bureaucratic clusterfuck they've created.

Also, my mum was entitled to care benefits for over 25 years, but never claimed either because no-one told her about her entitlement.

Like I mentioned previously, my family were staunch thatcherites. Luckily, I broke the family mold and got a fucking clue.

You do realise that the majority of the extra cost is nothing to do with me, but to do with your type pushing the costs of security up, don't you? If you didn't want my funeral to be that expensive you could have had basic decency and respect, but this is the price everyone must pay because you lack that.

No, if we didn't want the funeral to be that expensive your lot should have taken the fucking hint that this spectacle was unnecessary and unwanted, completely out of tune with the mood of a nation struggling to put food on the table and petrol in cars. Its a vulgar, bloated display of excess at a time when people are really struggling. People are angry as it is without this complete waste of public money. Bring back my local Resource Centre that just got shut down instead, it could have had 2 full time members of staff helping a deprived community and keeping youth out of trouble for the next million years.

Are you seriously justifying this expense?

Families pay for funerals. Not victims.

great quote. can I use it?

The expense would be no where near that amount if it weren't for your lot, would it? You can't create a big mess and security threat then blame the people who have to pay for it for paying for it. At the end of the day the main people who had any control whatsoever on the cost of this event were those who chose to use it as an opportunity to cause trouble.

I have also never seen a youth center have a positive effect on chavs. It's the same mentality they no doubt got from their anti-thatcher parents - just give us everything we want, more more more, and we'll behave. Promise.

I do agree that it makes no sense for net benefactors from the state to be Thatcherite.

It wasn't a youth centre, it was a resource centre. For people who haven't got shit loads of money for computers, printers, solicitors, financial advisors and so on. They organised stuff for kids during holidays as well cos their parents have to work hard (for not a lot) and can't afford aupairs and nannies so tended to get into trouble from boredom. No quads, ponies or acres of woodland to play in for these kids.

You really wouldn't understand. Different worlds and all that.
