Thai Sticks

Amen. In my opinion, San Francisco is the most beautiful city in the world and the bay area has a special indiscribable energy or force that attracts the counterculture, ecentric people, cool people, and opens peoples minds. I think there is no accident that it played a pivotal role during the beatnick era at North Beach (along with the Village in NYC. Furthermore, the (first) summer of love occuring, in the Haight there was no accient. Moreover, I believe that it is also no suprise that MDMA was rediscovered there (that is its magical effects on humans rather than remaining a chemical on Merck's shelves developed as an intermediate., by the good Dr. Sasha Shulgin. Our earths

Seattle is cool and has some bitchin reighboorhoods, Portlands cool, Vancouver is clean and nice. Anchorage is ok. Mahattan is a cool town. LA should fall in the ocean. Vegas is a fun time and Tuscon has a unique beauty that blends with the desert. Honolulu is beautiful in addition to its position in oahuThese are america's great cities. DC is beautiful for the most part in and outside the beltway. San Francisco is one of the worlds great cities. People are about as opened minded as they come in the USA on average. Not only the city is of unsurpased beauty but unlike Paris, London, and Madrid, it is in a stunning setting in the bay, and each Bay Area city and Santa cruz, montery, ect... each have their own unique charm. Oakland has Oaksterdam. The city has plenty of open spaces

I miss it. When I stopped seeing thai bud, I was watching TV and a freighter with hundreds of tons of drug was seized and never saw it again- this was in 88', early 89. Hope it is making a comeback. Wonder how much of the current bud descends from the original landrace strains, or if a significant amount is being grown still in thailand (as opposed to Cambodia). One of the classics.

ps: 90% of the LSD in the USA was made in the bay area from the 60s- early 90s. In the mid 80s, 80% of the US' supply of MDMA was in the Bay Area. The Bay Area has the most Noble Laureats in the world. Coincidence? I think that people are more opoen to the idea of psychedelic catalyzed conciousness mind expansion.

By the way, the Big Sur coastline is the most beautiful coastline in the world to drive through (highway 1). Close second is the road to Hana which comes close

thai bud

a liitle quote I got from softies website, for the conoisseur
THAI
Highland Thai

Highland Thai was among the absolute sweetest and fruitiest herb on the planet. The delicate, sticky Sativa buds so efficiently tied to the little sticks were among the finest of herb.

The Highland Thai, I believe, is at least partially where the Haze variety originated. It was one of the finest Sativa plants grown for its finished product at 45?N.

It is from this variety that Juicy Fruit Thai came. Juicy Fruit Thai was one of the original (and very successful) P1's of my breed stock. Juicy Fruit Thai grew fast, long and very unevenly. Every week or so another side branch would erupt in a growth spurt, compete with and conquer any existing meristem (main stem), and become the temporary meristem until another faster shoot overtook it. The leaves were very long and slender, containing as many as 13 leaflets, and deeply contoured.

The Juicy Fruit Thai took anywhere from one to 19 weeks in the indoor bud cycle to finish. Outdoors, the Juicy fruit was smokable, but undeveloped and leafy, by late September. Small buds developed during October and would ripen and swell during November. The longest I was ever capable of growing Juicy Fruit outdoors was until mid-December, in a greenhouse, and the plant could have gone on longer.

The primary drawback to growing the Highland Thai, after its leafiness, was its hermaphroditism. Though few seeds were found, and plants grown from the seeds produced only minor quantities of seed, all of the product was hermaphroditic. Also, many of the male flowers were sterile on some of the plants, or on certain parts of certain plants.

Out of all of the varieties that I have worked with at 45?N, this Thai produced some of the most powerful herb. This stuff was purely cerebral, yet mentally devastating in quantity, with absolutely no ceiling. Once, a seasoned smoker friend and I tested how far we could go with the homegrown Juicy Fruit. I recall making it to the 14th bong hit and being completely incapable of continuing. My coordination and depth perception were so skewed that I was unable to physically conquer the bong! The experience rivaled that of taking too much LSD, causing an incapacitation of the psychedelic kind. Yet, it was also uniquely enjoyable, entertaining and educational at the same time. I had sparkly eyes for a day or two afterward.

The aroma was a super-sweet fruity tropical punch and the flavor expressed itself both in the bud and the smoke.

Yeah i think opiated thai stick is definitely a thing of the past....

Soapbar has definitely given hashish a bad name in the UK and many people turn their noses up at fantastically nice hash as a result.

any fool knows the difference between soap and hashish..so dont think hashish has suffered..peeps round here go crazy for it when available

I know people who won't touch hash, don't matter what it is... yet they'll buy shitty damp unflushed bud for £7gram. I wouldn't call them a fool tho, they just don't have the evidence to disprove their beliefs.

^I've heard that most of the hash in the UK sucks (soapbar sounds like an anti-drug myth, but apparently it's super common), so that might be why.

but I have never seen it in the US,but they get hash and all that stuff in the UK and Europe that we do not get in the US for whatver reason, probably because we are seperated from the old trade routes and are not close to Africa and the middle east as Europe is so I suppose thats why hash is more common there, although people I know in the UK say the most common type is "Soapbar" which is a nasty combination of hash mixed with all kinds of garbage,so i prefer to smoke killer buds, and some bubble hash or hash oil or something...

I've never had a problem acquiring hash in the US, we definitely get it here.

There is plenty really nice hash here in the UK, this weekend alone I've been smoking some lovely blonde sweet tasting morroccan and some extremely nice quality black...

soapbar is brought over from moroco as a decentish quality hashish, once it arrives in spain they melt it down in vats and then add ...this is true...car tyres , plastic and henna !!!!!!, some soapbar is of a higher quality than some which is just total shite and does fuck all to ya in way of a buzz

^That's terrible, it amazes me that people are dumb enough to smoke that shit. In the US we don't get soapbar.

Yeah good hash is totally available in the UK, it's just that some people there have only tried soapbar and think that all hash is like that.
