Indeed, but if you are already able to get to inner city Melbourne or Canberra, drug checking is free and confidential. And if you are worried about nitazenes or other contaminants, you can test for those things too (also free). DIY requires you buying, storing and using reagents and kits if you don't already have these.
My vision is for an Australia where we have a mail-in drug checking service that people can freely access. Yes, that means you need to wait for your results - a few days to receive the sample and get it through the lab - but then the results could be posted to a website and you can access the info with a code specific to your sample. Optionally you could call or text chat with a harm reduction specialist if you want further information tailored to your substance and your experience/circumstances.
Would people here use that? and would they use the website to browse results even if not submitting samples themselves?
