Testing impure pills

Hypothetically, if I tested a pill that was 90% DXM, and 10% MDMA, what kind of reaction would I get with Mecke reagent. Will the MDMA automatically prevail causing a green to dark blue, or would the higher % of DXM cause a dark yellow reaction.

Mixing a speck of black paint w/ yellow causes a very dark color.
Hopefully, the hypothetical pill you describe would give a very dirty, and thus suspicious color reaction. But, it could potentially come out looking just like MDMA only.
 
Mecke bubbles with DXM? Not true, you're thinking of Marquis.
To the OP - Get a Marquis test to use in conjunction with Mecke. You would have a better chance to identify such a pill as suspicious using both tests, since Marquis would most likely fizz some on contact. Mecke is best for id'ing pills which are DXM only.
