Tested positive for Meth at work

Hi all just wondering your thoughts on this..

boyfriend tested positive for meth at work from a saliva test, confirmed positive after lab testing
he hadnt smoked meth for at least 7 days prior to the random test

Everything i read says it only lasts in your system for 2days.. how did this positive testing happen!?

Shame we didnt think to get testing from our doc on that day, really didnt think it could come back positive.

Has anyone else experience a false positive, and what can you really do about it?

He has his meeting at work tomorrow if anyone has advice to give it would be most appreciated, thanks.

I'm afraid questions relating to drug testing are not permitted on bluelight as they tend to develop into problematic discussions involving cheating tests and other unlawful behaviour.
The only advice i could really offer is to request a further test, but given the circumstances, there are no guarantees that this would help at all.
