i don't have a tester, but am thinking about purchasing one. i was just wondering if anyone know's if the chemicals can expire? it may sound stupid, but i just want to know if there are use by dates on them?

Burna Chick, from my experience the solution int he test kits can go off, depending where they are stored. I had a kit that was about 6 months old and I left it in an area that was exposed and warm. I used it about 4 weeks ago to test some lollies and I was skeptical about the results so i ordered a new kit and got it 5 days later, thankfully the results were different (positive) so I threw the old kit out. This is my opinion only and others may have a different perspective but if you buy a new kit I receommend you keep it in a dry and cool environment and keep the lids sealed tight. I hope this helps......the new EZ extreme kits are very good, used my last night.

The kits themselves will come with instructions to help maintain their longevity.
eg Marquis reagent (the most used) should be kept in a dry cool place away from sun (read: fridge)

ok one more thing... if i were to get either a mandelin, or marquis tester, which would be a better choice? i knwo the extreme tester is the best, but out of those two, which one is better?

Depends on what you want really, personally you cant beat the EZ Extreme that comes with the classic, simons, buffer, robadope reagents and they have improved the dropper as well. Good luck and test before using ALWAYS :)

Depends on where you live.
Mandelin is excellent for people living in Australia. Ketamine is a real problem here and mandelin does have a positive ID for Ketamine. We have had the odd PMA death here, mandelin does do a postive test for PMA. It is also a good cross check for marquis.
If it was one OR the other, then I would say marquis. Always follow the rule : If it doesn't test black, throw it back.

thanks soma. yeh i am living in australia, and i was thinking about K and pma, and the marquis does not test for these. ahhh the decisions we are faced with...

It says on the Eztest website about mandelin: "some say that even PMA will show up with this one but we have never tried that"
what colour will it turn for PMA if it works? Im thinking of getting a kit and live in Australia too, i just want to make absolutely sure that i can test postively for PMA cos i don't like the idea of dying, like i'd rather face the k-hole dor a few hours, seriously!

It is suggested that marquis tests for PMA by not reacting with it.
That is poor logic. My fridge will not react with marquis, yet it is not PMA.

then again, who tests for pma? you want xtc , right, thats why ppl get an xtc test kit. no reaction =no xtc
