Was on 90mg.per day Doctor cut 30mg all at once then cut another 30 the following month and then this month and now at 0mg for 7 days. Is it safe to take a Suboxone? Withdawals were 3 months due to their so called weaning. Disabled Vet. Leg amp?tated in Jan. Multiple problems and the VA don't care. VA will not help a veteran and less he is described as addicted. I'm not addicted after taking high doses of methadone and oxycontin for the last 15 years because I don't buy it on the streets the Veterans Administration gives it to me. That is the definition of addicted is that you purchase drugs on the street.

Hey Terry, welcome to Bluelight.

I am no expert on Suboxone so I can't really give you any direct advice. This is the New Member's Introductions and it's possible that it may not get enough attention here. If you don't get a response you might try posting in the Sober Living subforum where the right people will see it and give you an accurate answer.

Hello Terry1 and welcome to Blluelight.

My mother attends church with a lady doctor that works for the VA hospital, and she is involved with their Suboxone program, I spoke with the lady doctor a while back to just see what she did, and she mentioned that she helps vets with addiction/recovery by means of Suboxone/Subutex.
So I know there is a program for vets with substance abuse problems. Maybe you could ask around.
