terror fail

the unabomber was a terrorist, sorry to labour a point, but these pair of jokers were the epitome of the islamic-inspired terrorist, however inept.. in that they were hypocritical young men, who drank, partied and who far from being truly pious and dedicating themselves to religious ideals - instead chose the ludicrous, apparent shortcut of slaughtering innocents (cus god just loves that shit) in order to obtain that curious islamic idiosynchrasy.. an afterlife sullied with pleasures of the flesh

i mean really, seventy-two mutually-jealous women.. in your earhole, for all eternity - seems like a pretty clear definition of hell to me

Interestingly, in the international community [...] terrorism has no legally binding, criminal law definition. IMO it's a state propaganda term designed to legitimise violence done by the state. I think this might be the reason it has no international legal definition, because any definition of it is going to either include acts of war, or have a disclaimer exempting states, thus making it even more obvious that states are violent.

I think we have to be wary about using the word, and be critical of our response when we hear it, because acceptance of the way it's used in the media strengthens statist propaganda.

^ I concur.

Bukhari Volume 8, Book 73, Number 73: Narrated Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak: ”And if somebody commits suicide with anything in this world, he will be tortured with that very thing on the Day of Resurrection.

You have to commit suicide using 72 virgins in order to be tormented by 72 virgins in hell. Now that is a suicide bombing I would actually quite like to see :D

The 72 virgins thing is a bit of a myth. Depending on which bits of the Koran and various Hadiths you choose to emphasise. Kinda like how you can justify anything by selevtively quoting Bible verses. Obviously you can do the same with Islamic verses. It's all so much silly made-up bollocks after all.

The Prophet Muhammad was heard saying: “The smallest reward for the people of Paradise is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine, and ruby, as wide as the distance from Al-Jabiyyah [a Damascus suburb] to Sana’a [Yemen]“ - Sunan al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2562

Bukhari Volume 2, Book 23, Number 445: Narrated Jundab the Prophet said, “A man was inflicted with wounds and he committed suicide, and so Allah said: My slave has caused death on himself hurriedly, so I forbid Paradise for him.”

Suicide is a mortal sin same as in Christianity. "Righteous" murder is a bit more murky but still a stretch to get to the virgins.

“Do not consider those killed [while engaging] in God’s cause dead. Rather, they live with their Lord, who sustains them!” - Koran, 3:169

The Prophet said, “Nobody who dies and finds good from Allah (in the Hereafter) would wish to come back to this world even if he were given the whole world and whatever is in it, except the martyr who, on seeing the superiority of martyrdom, would like to come back to the world and get killed again (in Allah’s Cause).” - Sahih Bukhari, 4:52:53

One fun fact about the 72 virgins (actually wives but given how wives are expected to be virgins before wifedom it's kinda moot) is that their hymens regenerate each time they are broken. So won't be in the least bit irked at being broken in for all eternity I'm sure.

i was speaking somewhat tongue in cheek. but yes, bukhari is indeed one of the books generally accepted to be closest to pure doctrinal truth.. a fact used by some to point out one or two of the less-than-holy aspects of the prophet's proclivities and dispositions throughout life

I did assume cheek-based tongue placement - was mostly just an excuse to shoehorn in my ever-replenishing hymen funfact :D

Patsies. The real agenda will quickly be known.

Quoted for edit. Is that really your book, Mr Lemming? Congrats due if it is. I'd buy it if I was less of a cheapskate skint person.

The author isn't the organic life form behind the Lemming persona (not me in other words), but there is a rather distant connection via another investigative journalist and is someone I would recommend to read. I'm sure I can get you a copy if you'd like to read it. Well researched rather than the scripted nonsense defacated upon the masses in the last few days.

Looked well-reviewed (although I can't think of many books that use the "Pile of old wank" reviews on the cover really :D). I do like a bit of investigative journalism on an interesting topic me. If it happens to appear on the voluminous bookshelves at the local charity shop I will investigate. This is actually not as much of a longshot as it may sound - is just the kinda subject matter that plenty peeps around here are into. Chomsky is worshipped as a god by many of the (not really local) locals.

RT is one of the better news sources around at the moment, it is totally true though that the americans have a history of actually cultivating and provoking people into commiting these sort of acts when they might not have in the first place if they had been left alone, both deliberately and unintentionally by being utter retards at dealing with foreign policy, reap what you sow etc.

An interview with the author about the book is here. Frequent contributor on RT.

Is an interesting angle to focus on the self-perpetutating nature of using paid criminal informants to essentially do everything except take the fall. We all know it goes on but nice to see it presented in such a way that it's not so easily dismissed as being all "conspiracy theorists" paranoia.

It's nothing new either. Every modern security service is involved in such actions as part of operational procedure as it serves a very specific purpose. As Henry Kissinger so eloquently states: "The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer."

the scariest thing about the hunt for these fellas was the fb feeding frenzy. it was just like the supposed pics of the bulger killers all over again. I knew several people who liked and shared the pictures of those lads here, like as if they were going to be seen wandering round the shores of lough neagh or something. (well, he was found in a boat)

I have so many more musings to contribute on life in general but i was meant to assign sunday as my laundry day and the fucking computer keeps sucking me in. theres' me going on about fools and the facebook generation and I am no better my self)

absolutely scary really the internet is. of course the powers that be love the blood baying that happens on fb and wherever else. proof and justification for whatever means they use to do whatever it is they do. the public need their perpetrator. see, there was prolly the fear here in some folks that if these fellaz weren't caught they'd be bombing the london marathon. who knows. but yep, internet feeding frenzies. everyone's a cop. we will not likely know what this is all about for a while. remember yer man derrick bird? did you know that he was part of the sas unit that shot an unarmed not in the ira young fella by the name of francis bradley? there was to be an investigation into the unlawful killing of young francis. tipped him over the edge as it may have been? took him out of the investigation anyway. i hate all this shit. i don't want to know about it any more. I'm just gonna mind me own business I think. it drives me mad. i hate fuckers, powerful or powerless.

RT is one of the better news sources around at the moment,

hmm....are they ? i like RT....but often think thier 'agenda' or bias is as blatant as FOX or CNN.
i would say they are one the best of a bad bunch

al-jazeera is usually pretty good too, maybe, surprisingly, more neutral than RT

well, what I like about RT is although they sometimes sound a bit hysterical, they are at least providing a counterpoint to the likes of the bbc and fox/cnn. So the whole lot taken together kind of helps you see where the middle lies.

Hahahahahahahahaha! Glen Beck is such an unbelievable nobber. I almost preferred it when he was all ranty and shouty and forcing out tears at every opportunity.

Also, Marijuana Blamed for Dzhokhar's Alleged Boston Bombings. Mystery solved. Weed made 'em do it innit.

silly person said:
Here it is. Vanity Fair delivers the first report I have seen noting 19-year-old Dzhokhar's weed use. We MUST start asking hard questions about marijuana use and these violent outbursts. In some people, marijuana use induces psychosis, paranoia and aggression. The science is there. This connection is real. (Screencap at http://rad-r.us/MJBomber)
