I was wandering if anyone could help me out with thiss. I been doing oc for about two years now and my tolerance was ridiculousy high after I started shooting. Like 160mg a day. Well five days ago I gave it up. My question is even though I've used no drugs to detox I'm about to loose my mind, the worst is over but my legs are still aching very bad and I have terrible insomnia. Would taking like 1mg of suboxone help me or would it cause me to withdrawl longer? Thanks for any help.

The suboxone would certainly help your current withdrawals, but then could also have withdrawals of its own should you continue using it for too long.

It's really your call, but if you have made it this far and think the worst is truly over, than it might be wise to try and go without.

suboxone will probably help a bit, but your tolerance is on the lower end of high i might say. i would keep the suboxone on you at all times. just knowing its there can sometimes help you through because you know you have it if things get so bad you feel like no other way out. try alot of hot baths. if possible, live in the bathtub for a week or so and get some immodium. its so so hard, but you sound like youre making it and you should be proud of yourself for how far youve come as we here at BL are proud of you. wishing you a speedy recovery.

A one time use of 1mg will help you out a lot with leg pain and will not make w/d any worse. It might extend the w/d a little longer, but it will probably give you a higher chance of success at staying clean. It will prevent u from loosing your mind per se, cuz often in w/d losing your mind leads to relapse. Maybe try .25mg first, wait an hour, see how you feel, if u need more take 0.5mg. Subs are strong and a tiny bit, especially since you have been w/ding for 6 days will go a long way. I think that taking that 1mg will probably help you out a lot, it might even cause for you to barely experience any more leg pain at all.

Take Z Y G G Y's advice over mine. They sound like they have a lot more experience with this sort of thing than myself. I was just attempting to give you a somewhat educated reply, because at the time, the thread wasn't getting much attention.

Great to hear you're doing so well though, I'm sure it's an incredibly tough thing to go through. I never have, but many of my close friends have had the misfortune.

Best of luck, stick to it, I'm sure everything will work out great for you.

Either titrate the dose lower first or go "partially" coldturkey with help of clonidine (antihypertensive which will help your system fight that adrenaline and anxiety rushes after heavy abuse of depressants).

Clonidine is readily available and not abusable..they would give you a patch at the er which should significantly lower your blood pressure, worry...however as most of us know not the crawings

Sub only helps a certain amount of people but def worth the try

idk if 1mg of suboxone will help u all that much for the type of habit u had. it shld take the edge off tho.

I agree. 5 days clean you're almost there. 160 mgs of oxy a day is more than I'd do, but it isn't really a huge habit. Lots of people on here do more than that at a time.
